Hi i havent had the oppertunity to keep an eye on whats been available on the PC games market for a while now as iv a quite outdated PC Gpu (4200 128mb). But I am going to be gettin a Laptop with a Geforce 7600 (128mb) and am wondering what the most demanding and also the best games are currently available and how my 7600 will handle them?? ( settings with good fps during gameplay)

I hear that Fear and Quake 4 are pretty demanding and excellent too.. What else would fall into their category??

F.E.A.R will run so so ish on a go7600, and Oblivion will run smooth if you turn the resolution down, and the settings on medium/low. Quake 4 isn't that demanding by modern standards, and will should run with everything on high.

I would say nr. 1 Oblivion, nr. 2 FEAR, nr. 3 Ghost Recon: Advanced Warrior.

Oblivion is very very demanding. Even the best of the best cannot play it on 1920*1200 with highest settings. The game looks good, but demands too much. Bad programmed for PC you know.

FEAR looks great and is also very demanding. But with an 7900GTX you can run it at very high settings.

Oblition and Ghost Recon are for sure very demanding games but i think they'll run fine on a 7600, just don't turn your resolution to high.

The highest resolution i will be playing on in any game will be 1280x800 as i prefere to switch on the eye candy in games rather than going too high with the resolution!..

How far could i put up the settings on FEAR and Oblvion with the resolution kept on 1280x800 or even 1024x768?? (1280x800 hopefully!) I want to be able to have smooth gameplay (30fps+)I remind you that i will have the 7600 with 128mb only..
