I thought the review was amusing since I think for many Skyrim fans and RPG game fans in general, Skyrim will be their GOTY.
But for this reviewer, Skyrim get a rating of 3.3 for being insensitive to gamers with disabilities.
- I was able to change mouse sensitivity in the game menu and I thought you could turn on subtitles in the menu as well.
- And criticizing a game for requiring you to press buttons frequently is really asinine I thought.
- I also thought criticizing game mechanics such as lockpicking was also dumb. Bethesda has to sacrifice gameplay for the 1% of disabled, and have the 99% suffer? Seems rather selfish to me.

Only thing I agreed with was the lack of subtitles; I Like subtitles as I usually play games with no sound, like to listen to radio. Article said subtitles can only be enabled when typing a command into the console ( ` ) AFTER looking for the command online. There should be a native option built into the GUI of the game; some people would never think to look online for the command.

The purpose of that review appears to be to give a rating based on accessibility for disabled people, not for quality of the game. No point in complaining about the reviewer.

This game is simply a beast that drags my rig to the floor. Hopefully a patch or two will fix things but ATM it definitely has my vote.

Yeah I enabled subtitles (and it was an easy to find menu option) because for me the volume of the game is real low for some reason, I also had another friend complain of this same thing...

Can Stephen Hawkings play it?

If the opening drum beat when Bethesda's logo loads is excruciatingly loud, then the rest of the game will be set to the correct normal volume. (except for the voice of daedric princes, which will be too loud) -
Hint: right click your volume icon in Windows and select Playback Devices. Open the Properties menu for your speakers/headphones or whatever you use, go to the Enhancements tab, and enable Loudness Equalization. It basically gets rid of the huge gaps in volume between different applications. For example, before that, I had to turn Mumble volume down to under 1/4 to be able to hear anything in Skyrim when it was at maximum volume. But then I wouldn't be able to hear Mumble over Modern Warfare 3, and so on.
Since I checked that little box, I run everything at 100% volume and adjust the volume of my headset, and everything sounds very well balanced. -
