I would love to find out what the most powerful gaming laptop on the market is today .

If money wasn't an issue what laptop would you want to get your hands on ?

Either the M17x or the Sager M980NU

I personally think the M17x is better as it has Unlocked multipliers, 3 Gpu's 2 260's or 280's in SLI, and one intergrated GPU for extended battery life, Slot loaded Blu-ray burner, Great cooling system, Great design!

    And the price is...?

I'd wager that the first number is a three. ;)

Enough said, and the fact is the Clevo M980NU is not only larger with locked multipliers but would only save you about 200-400 dollars, which yes seems like alot but not at the cost of all the extra features and benefits the M17x has over it

lol yeah its the same thread.

anyways its pretty much a 3 way tie.

    Dell/Alienware M17X
    Asus W90
    Sager 9850

The Asus sports 2x 4870 cards while the other two have 2x GTX280 cards.

The Asus is by a long shot cheaper though and I like how it looks so thats the one I have.

M17x or Clevo M980NU. They are almost the same, although the M980NU has a bigger screen and 3 HDD's, and the M17x has a case made of aluminiun and is easier to overclock. Bother of them have both integrated (nvidia 9400) and dedicated gpu's (dual 280gtx). I prefer the Clevo one cuz you can buy a barebone from rjtech.com and buy cheap components for it (ES CPU's).

I'm pretty sure the sager 9850 also has unlocked multipliers...and it's cheaper than the alienware.

and Larger, and no anodized aliminum casing, and no slot loaded disk drives, and no cool lighting, and no intergrated GPU... just saying, don't mean to go fanboy I just think those are very key components to the M17x and the reason it is slightly more expensive, IMO completely justified as well

It does have an integrated gpu...and supports 3 hard drives and looks more professional.

Both suit different peoples needs, but performance wise they'll both be even. I'm just saying if you don't know the facts, don't preach wrong info.

sager and m17x were the same price last I checked, also I do not think the 9850 is out yet so we cant say if it will do better/worse.

the m17x had the screen issues, lack of 2nd hdd cage, and limited cpu overclocking despite the unlocked bios, so it has a fair share of problems.

the 17x will prob be the best one once they have ironed out a few kinks, but only if money wasnt an issue as in the EU the pricing sucks

You can get it with the laptop but instead of $400 it will cost your $1000

You can get it on the Sager and Asus too.
