    I have been doing a research on my own but i am a bit confused here. Please tell what is the best and most stable amd driver today.

    My video card is AMD Radeon HD 6870M

    I just use whatever is newer.
    But i dont have to worry about switchable graphics so that could be a problem for you.

    Mines at 12.2 Preview.

    I have an M17x R3 with a 6870M. I just use the stock Dell provided drivers. No issues here.

    I've read about too many issues (i.e. BSODs, too many steps to uninstall/reinstall, etc.) to mess around with it.

    Also, I wouldn't want to lose the Fn+F7 (switchable graphics) capability between the integrated Intel 3000HD and the 6870M.

    running the 12.2 preview here, and haven't had any issues with my 6990M.
