its my understanding that games that allow mutlithreading use both cores of a dual core processor and divide the work up to give more over all power..
so.. while I am aware that its not LARGLY used at the moment.. I was wondering if oblivion and F.E.A.R. multithread?

yes, newer games are coming out to have multi-threaded support, so you can definitely see the difference in framerate if you have a single-core and a dual-core...
make sure that your system is optimized for it... because its not done automatically for you.

I don't recall anything about those two games being multithreaded. I could be wrong though, but I suspect they're both singlethreaded.

Oblivion has a patch for dual core. You can search the net for other patches.

Oblivion was always dual core. Even the first version. Use tweakguides. Why do you people always ignore me when I say use it? Tweakguides can show you how to tweak Oblivion to run on just about any machine...
Multithreading.
