insanely good drivers made for mobile users (in fact the best)
fixed GTA HIV textures
-
Any other improvements or is this set based on GTA IV exclusively without other benefits to other games?
-
Check out the release notes. They are HIGHLY optimized drivers that will benefit any gamer on a mobile platform. These ones just boast the GTA HIV fix as that is a hot topic right now. My min frame rates have increased and max decreased with these driver (I don't have GTA I'm talking about all other games) which has resulted in much smoother game play than with normal nVidia drivers. I don't think I'll ever use any driver other than a DOX release for my laptop!

Good news
Cant wait for my laptop to arrive... -
I'll have to give these a go, i love dox's drivers, but apparently the earlier versions of the 180 series gave me bsod's . the newer 180.84 do not, so i will def give these a go.
-
is it go with Geforce Go 7300 ??
-
I prefer 180.70 DOX becaue it had higher overall FPS IN CoD4.
-
I downloaded these earlier today, but didn't install them because I was sick @_@
Gonna try these out right now. -
Brilliant drivers.
GTA 4 almost runs smoothly for me now. -
OMFG, you gotta be kidding. At what settings you are playing. I got a M1710 with the spec just like yours and I'm still affraid that mine cannot handle GTA4.
-
Burning balls we are on the same Gen of cards, so when you say its worth it, then its worth it
downloading now
-
Your card is twice as powerful as mine.
Here's something interesting, there has been a big problem with the geforce 7900 series of cards when playing GTA 4, it's something that Rockstar mentioned I think.
You should be fine though with your card, a 7950gtx is really powerful. -
and yeah, the 7900 series has some sort of Graphical Corruption in certain Places, and some slowdown in unexpected areas. IE: stutter inside although the framerate is high -
any help here???
-
Yah I can help.
Don't play soccer games -
haha those screens are awesome! ballet-soccer at its best
try using different drivers, or playing with the in-game settings. -
im using 180.70 instead for cod4 and world at war... for some reason .70 gives me the best graphic quality and performance...
i know it dont matter but i even got a score increase in 3dmark 06 of like 80 points... -
Great drivers DOX!!, very smooth framerates. And you know what you increased the fps in GTA IV by around 8 frames per second for me, I would call that a huge boost
-
I'm currently running Dox's 180.70. Do these drivers also have the same problem coming out of sleep mode?
For everyone reporting GTA IV performance improvements: Nvidia's 184.84 drivers were released specifically to improve GTA IV performance. Give them some kudos for the performance boost as well. -
is there any way to see if this driver would work for my card?
-
No I have to give Dox more kudos since he actually improved the performance very much over the original Nvidia drivers.
-
Can we please get some GTA IV benchmarks from you guys who've had better performance with these new Dox drivers?
-
Yes sure at 1920x1200 and with a T7700 2.4GHz, Win XP Pro I actually can drive around at around 25-40+ fps, pretty good considering a low end CPU in this particular case of game. Before I barely had around 22 fps driving around.
This with Render Quality Highest, Texture Quality High, Detail distance 11, Car Density 20, Draw Distance 25, Shadows 3. -
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
looks like GTA4 might have just had some launch issues then and perhaps will get fixed up relatively quick...
good news. -
-
-
not really sure about these. i think gta runs worse than the previous build of 84's...
-
-
If you guys want support for the driver or have DOX read your posts please post in the link in my OP.
Thanks and enjoy! -
-
are these drivers only for GTA 4 or will these drivers offer a better overall performance boost?
-
Good question. They`re supose to improve GTA IV performance, but they`re not doing it for me..
Weird thing... -
Must have DOX 180.84 (mobile) optomized drivers w/GTA HIV fix
