Incredibly good. If you get more than 7000 on 3dmark06 on a non-SLI laptop, that's just. Bloody amazing. 7900GTX surely alone can't do it, I defintately find it... Utterly incredible.

doesn't that score put that card at around a 7800gtx?

If that laptop costs under $2000 that'd be a pretty good deal.

Your score is a bit lower than what a Go7900GTX gets, but you have the Quadro version and they typically don't score as high.

    Nice notebook btw.

its kinda werid cause its detected as a 7900GTX. IDK it could well be 7900GTX remember that its 256MB of Graphics Memory

The 510 is the workstation version of the 7900GTX...same core just different optimizations on the surrounding chip and drivers.

Have you tried over clocking the GPU, that should increase it by atleast a hundred points, if not more.

I always tend to overclock my GPU to see how much more I can get out of it. Though remember by overclocking it you will notice more heat :)

It's a decent score. Had me going when I saw 3DMark06 in the title though. As was posted before, it isn't a 7900GTX. A really quick way to find out exactly what you have is to just right click on your desktop, go to settings, and hit the Advanced tab. It'll tell you in the window that pops up your card model.

its a NVS 510M its basicy a 7900GTX but optimizations for a workstation just like what Night 2004 said.. for the price i got it for its definately a great steal if you want some high performance Graphics and extreme Duo Core Power

the 2500m games just as well as the 7900gtx (but generally is 1-2 fps slower)

Perfect! at gaming. Plays Far Cry High settings Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders, GTA SA need for speed underground 2 and Fear all at high settings. no problems what so ever. I gotta say though this is worth the money even if its a workstation laptop. Anyone got any suggestions for what else i should try on this comp?

I would be curious what the following are

    Pixel-/Vertex-pipelines are (probably 24/8)
    Core(MHz)
    Memory(MHz)

    Score not necessarily all that

e.g. my score is about 1500 lower than what others get with same card (even same laptop!). I think 3D Mark won't play ball with me as my games run fine anyway

I get the same scoure like you but i have only a 1.83Ghz core duo. My 3dmark06 score isn't much lower than most go 7900GTX, but the 3dmark05 score is!

The scores in my sigh are that high because i OC'ed my card a bit.
I think it's because i only have 256MB memory in my GPU in stead of 512MB.

So I got a score of 3006 3DMarks on 3DMark06. Is that decent enough to play games like Ghost Recon Advance Warrior, Oblivion and FEAR? I'm not fussed if I can't krank the graphics, as long as it looks halfway decent and it plays smoothly.

    I've got a Fijitsu Siemens Xi1546 : Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2GHZ
    1GB RAM
    ATI Mobility Radeon x1800
    ` 2 x 120 GB HDD

The Mobility Radeon X1800 is a very powerful video card and will play the latest titles at high settings without any problems. Your only bottleneck will be the 1GB of RAM; if you had 2GB, that would be better.

well the only reason why i dont want to get a ATI Card is because its all in AMD Chipsets now and thats kinda a disvantage in my opinion atleast. Im not a big AMD Fan.

ATI made chipsets - just because of the merger, everything is rebranded as AMD now, but the name changed doesn't mean they suddenly suck :p. And there are still some out there with Intel chipsets as well which are still under development for the next gen - might not be new ones after that, but don't think the ATI Chipsets are now crap because they're called AMD Chipsets now :p
