06 3782. From all my reading good for a HD3650. What do you guys think? First run might change setttings (in ATI) not going to buy 06.
-
I think my HD2600 does about the same (if i remember correctly).
Off topic: I swear to god I saw that you got banned, but here you are o_o' -
powerpack's been temp banned a few times I think.
-
@Lakjin
That would be odd if the HD2600 and HD3650 got a close score...
Run it again or check your score again...
OT: i got 2977 if you want to compare it to mine... -
-
You are correct you are not losing your mind.
Lakjin how is your Gateway? If I had the money back then would of bought an MX. I didn't and now have killer Ram bandwidth, 2.53Ghz CPU. What is your score? I think mine might beat 8600m GT? That is what I would like input on. I bought mine cheap. -
and .. are you using the default setting ?
This is weird .. i thought 3650 hd is supposed to be better than 8600m gt... I got 4850 in 3dmark06 for my 8600m. Can reach 5000 with a little tweak here and there. -
Shadowlaw, it depends on the kind of VRAM that your 8600M GT comes with. Those with DDR2 memory tend to get around 3500-3700, while those with GDDR3 memory average about 4000, iirc. Not to mention how much of an impact CPU speed makes on 3DMark06.
-
Yep, i think so too. Maybe his 3650 is ddr2 then ...
Mine is ddr3. and its awesome -
Hi guys wow only saw Lakjin.
Lithus is correct like say for example time sharing.
ahl395 for what is worth is a CPU test not included? That could explain?
talin let me tell you! I have a very inexpensive Asus F8VA-C1. 2.53Ghz Montivna, DDR2 PC6400, 320GB HDD and of course HD3650 which is looking very good?
RAM bandwidth is almost 25% faster than Santa Rosa. 5400MB/s. -
-
The CPU test was included in my 3DMark Score, if thats what you are asking... Not sure. -
CPU tests NEED to be included in order to get a 3DMark score.
-
OK guys, trying things to improve score. 1st I set so it would display at WXGA but not use the full screen not WXGA stretched to WXGA+ thinking if made GPU not have to do a conversion would help. I lost 2 points. So I guess a no go! So I then set all the adjustments in Catalyst to performance. I left 2 alone as not completely clear.
Gained almost 1,000 points. 3876 that sounds good to me. I know what I am competing against. The 8600m GT. I beat it I think from what I see. Was mentioned an 8600m GT w/GDDR3 might get 5,000? True?
Does anyone know why ATI has both HD2600and HD3650 and which is better? I am guessing HD3560 but is it? And why? Why are they making cards so close?
I am off too yet again test. Wish me luck.
Any application that might tell what I have? Clock speed and DDR type. I think I have heard of. I should know but forgot, had an 1150 IGP for the last two years. Before that I had a top of the line DeLL (2000). PIII 450 w/8 MB GPU. Within a couple months top CPU speeds doubled. GPU's got better Also. I will never ever buy top of the line again. To expensive.
I have not gamed for a few years. I liked NFS Porsche Unleashed got up to Internet world record speed. I assume I could play most driving games at good settings. Am I correct guys?
My brother plays Oblivion (IV) I think, it is called, could I play that on pretty high settings? Also Medal of Honor and Call of Duty?
You know what I am so old how would the "Doom games" do?
Just trying to place this thing. Also anyone know if the buss size was cut in half? I am aware some Asus 14.1 did so with 8600m GT's. Anyone know? Or how I can find out?
Also if you don't know. Asus has a trick. They make 14's almost the size of other's 15.4. 13.3 is almost 14.1 of others. It does allow them to have better GPU's in class.
If anyone has any suggestions on improving performance I would listen. I have not had a real GPU for years so any input would be good.
Edit: I see new posts. -
ahl395 and TehSuigi yes that is what I mean. Seems silly that something that try's to judge your GPU includes CPU in the composite. Or maybe the problem is many of us have made it a GPU test. Maybe they just want as a bench. Anyway just trying to see the way things stand. I knew the HD3650 was mid level at best. want t o know where it stands. I do know about notebook check and all. I thought 8600m GT got say 3400?
-
If you keep the resolution low you should be able to get mostly med-high settings on very recent games. Oblivion is still a power whore on hardware, i cant max it on my setup. If you keep the draw distances low and shadows lower you should be good.
I dont think your bus is cut, that seemed to be a remote issue with just that laptop.
Try overclocking as well. download Ntune and test out to get stable clocks. Also FSB overclocking the CPU will help, maybe only by a FPS or two -
3650 is not good in 3dmark compared to 8600 but in games its acually better, At least better than the DDR2 8600.
-
I got 4100 from my HDX 18t out of box with all the crapwere,@ 1280x1024.but I have p8400.I guess with some work,I ll get 4500+
