Man, I usually don't play office (I <3 the gun game the most) but my friend likes to hop on cs_office sometimes, so I play too. Except it freezes. A lot. And the freezes are often so bad that I have to power down by holding the power button. I reinstalled CS (oh so loooooong) and I was able to get in 1 non freezing game, but it stilll freezes. And I like hanging out with my friend, who happens to like office.

I personally like CS_Assault but that is a wierd problem even the fact that you uninstalled and reinstalled and you still have the problem did you try changing the graphic settings for that map?

Go to the Maps folder in Steam > Source and delete every cs_office file in there. Then when you join the server it should redownload and play fine.

Office, inferno, and a few other maps have a lot of what I refer to as garbage on them. This includes all the computers you can shoot apart, the coffee mugs, papers, waste baskets, cans, rolls of toilet paper, water bottles etc. Basically the useless crap that you can get stuck on that serves no purpose but to lower performance and piss you off. If someone throws a nade into front office, for example, all this garbage is going to fly all over the place and kill your performance. On my old computer it would crash if this happened. There used to be a command to get rid of this stuff, but its now considered a cheat.

Usually (when I'm a terrorist) I plow those chairs down and shove them out of the projector room so that the counter-terrorists have trouble getting in.
