    My GPU doesn't have 1x options for AA or AF

    (7800 go) Can my GPU just not do 1x? Or is there a way to get those options to show up?

    As far as I remember it starts at 2x...But I might remember wrong :)

    Yea, I have never heard of 1x. Both start at 2x.

    You dont have the option for 1x. If I remember correctly, 1x is the same as off.

    Yeah, its None, then 2x, then 4x, etc

    Basic math. 1x1=1 (off), 1x2=2 (2x), 1x4=4 (4x), etc... There is no 3x because everthing in computers work in multiples of a number. In this case its multiples of 2.

    That is very correct, but GTA sanandreas actually uses 3x for some odd reason and thats the highest in game, but obv you can change it from the control panel.

    Its all to do with how many random samples are taken to try and smooth the transition, one would be off as thats what it would usually do.
