It looks like things in the foreground are trailing over things in the back, leaving a trail image only over areas that are out of visible range.

Should I be worried or is this just the game?

It's the game. I'm quite sure of it.

although something similar happened to me back in the day when I had a dell.. and it was the GFX card had over-heated a few to many times, and then anything over 70c I would get artifacts like that..

    Looks like artifacts.

Does it happen to other games?
Have you tried changing the games gfx settings?
    What are your gpu temps?

gaming temp ranges from 77-86, but it's been at those temps for a year, so it's not like they are not normal. I just tried TF2, and I'm not getting any artifacting at all in it... hope it's just a glitch since it's still beta.

Its highly likely just the game itself then. Nothing to worry about.

Heh, thanks for the reassurance. Is there a driver better for this game either than 177.83? When I first saw that stuff I thought the nVidia defect reared its head... going to try Trackmania and see if anything pops up there.

EDIT: not seeing anything in Trackmania either... phew

Yes that looks like a problem with the game's textures, not a problem with your card.

If there was flickering and the textures changing colour, you might have had to worry about your card dying. This has happened to me before. Just graphics glitch
