    My Steam Wont Connect!!

    for some reason my steam will no longer connect to the interent so i can only log in in offline mode. i had not been on steam for about a month and i went to go on it and it said connection error my firewall if not blocking it at all so i cant understand what is wrong. if i reinstall is there a way to keep all the games as they take ages to download

    Your games are not deleted just because you can't log in. Even if you're in Offline Mode, you should still have access to your list of games. You can use Steam's integrated backup utility to back all your games up to an external hard drive or to burnable DVDs.

    Do you use Firefox? It happened me once a few months back that Steam could not connect, but actually it was because for some reason the Internet Explorer was set to work offline. Check it, it may help you.

    Some reason its not connecting for me to, it just hanging at connecting to steam account ......

    You can keep your games by moving the steamapps folder somewhere else before you uninstall. Then move it back after you reinstall and run the steam.exe, so it will recognize them.
