I don't really understand why you want FERMI specifically for DX11.... DX11 is not a huge improvement for eye candy... sure it does introduce more realistic water, tesselation, and a few other things, but i highly doubt when in intense action you'll notice how nice certain things look instead of DX10 rendering.

All I know is, Crysis is DX10 and it's simply THE BEST looking game I've played still. Bad Company 2 can't match it, Metro 2033 was a joke.

I'm in the group, I believe developers used DX10 to try and cheaply make games look better than the DX9 console port but without optimizations. We haven't seen a game since Crysis really take full advantage of DX10 yet.

I've run the STALKER benchmark in both DX10 and DX11. I can tell you there is a very big difference in appearance, for the better, and it would be noticeable in-game. The clouds and the whole environment just "feels" more realistic. It will be marginal in an FPS, but get an adventure game like Myst or RTS or a strategy game, or even a puzzle game, and it will really shine. There are more than FPS's out there. Heck, just look at the difference between DX10 and DX11 on the Heaven benchmark. Lots of screenies of that out there just a Google away, and it shows what can happen when you actually design in DX11, instead of just tacking it on for a checkbox.

I have played crysis before on this hp and i do say.. it does have the best graphics of any game i played... i'm getting sick of seeing DirectX9.0 games .. that's 5-7 year old software etc... Developers need to use DX11 now... and fact is so far , ATI has best DX11 GPU's... so forget ferni.. it ain't gonna cut it... OP , i'm really begining to think that ur an NVDIA Fanboy :)

I could not tell a difference between Crysis running in DirectX 9 and DirectX 10. I agree it is the best-looking game to date, though.

8 more days until she arrives. Side note: I ordered an Intel SSD and asked them about TRIM support and RAID since its coming with two drives in raid already. Not only did they answer my question but they are letting me send in my SSD so they can install it in the final build. Perhaps I didnt find the absolute cheapest gaming laptop in the world but thus far am a happy camper. Only the future will hold the answers to my mobile fermi debate, hopefully I made a decent gamble...
