For several days now i have played warcraft 3 without any problems loading time was just under 15sec and gameplay completely without bugs or major lags.
But yesterday when i opened the game the whole system freezes and neither ctr+alt+delete help or clicking on any other switch including the power off/on
the only way to shut down the system was to hold the power on button for some moment... I also tried to wait but after 15 minutes i ran out of patientce. MY specs

    T5500 1,66Ghz
    Intel 945PM chipset
    2GB ram
    ATI x 1600 128mb

I have tried making a clean reinstall and also installed the latest patches didnt helped.
I had also downclocked the GPU to factory settings, since last time i had an issue with Far Cry after overclocking the GPU, didnt helped...

I have also removed my antivirus, closed background programs, but again didnt helped...

I had also defraged the disk that dindt help either.

This is my first time getting a system freeze and it never happened on any other desktop i played W3 on so whats the deal?

    HELP please!

    Check your RAM with memtest86.

And if you're running XP, install the multicore patch. (This won't do anything if you're using Vista)

Try other 3d games(preferably more gpu-intensive) to see how they worked. I hope you didn't fry your gpu with that OC

nope Far Cry was by far the most sensitive GPU game i tried and it runs perfectly with low OC'. 10mhz more and i get graphical glitches...
