I do not have a laptop yet, but want one that would play the recently released Myst 5 (and Myst 4).
UbiSoft lists the required video cards and then adds this discouraging statement: "These chipsets are the only ones that will run this game. Laptop models of these cards not supported."
Does this really mean that even if you equipped a laptop with the highest-end video card available, it still wouldn't work?
Or is Ubi just being real extra-conservative? Or what? Is a video card version different whether it's for a desktop or a laptop?
Here's exactly Ubi's requirements:
"Supported Video Cards at Time of Release:
ATI Radeon 7000/8000/9000/X series (8500 or higher recommended)
NVIDIA GeForce 256/2/3/4/FX/6 series (GeForce 4 or higher recommended)
Intel Extreme 2"
Can anyone shed light on this? Did I just buy a $50 frisbee?
My thanks to any who can help!

welll...it says somewhere this
so basically any laptop with at least 32 MB video card that supports directx 9.0c can play it..most newer laptops have like at least 64 MB graphics card as the minimum now
