I'm a big basketball fan and just wanted to know who else bought NBA 2K12 and what they thought of it.
I'm currently really liking the Create a Legend mode using Derrick Rose to bypass defenders and hit the 3 pointer and the mid-shot.
However, I have noticed that it's harder to score in this game and I have a tough time getting around defenders to lay the ball in the hoop.
Anyone else find it difficult?
And who are you using for Create a Legend mode?
-
I got it and I think it is WAY better than 2k11, just from playing a few minutes. the game runs smoother and I get better frames per second.
havent played enough to answer your question. but this is the best bball game ever. -
kinda ot but maybe you guys can help.
i have nba 2k11 and it seems like it has stopped giving updates like roster changes and nba today games, any of you experience this? -
After the 2011 season is over, they stop updating NBA 2K11.
That would seem obvious since people would not buy NBA 2K12 and just keep NBA 2K11 and update rosters. -
Hmm I think 2k9 was supported into the next season.
But nonetheless I wouldn't mind buying the new version and supporting the developer

last I checked it was $10 on amazon...

I really liked the nba today feature

You can still get relatively up-to-date custom rosters for 2k11 if that is all you are concerned about.
However, with decent sliders, the gameplay in 2k12 unbelievably improves on 2k11.
And the jump shots...are just like real life -
But I just found it so much easier for the program to do it all automatically of course. I could also check game scheds and replicate the functionality of nba today but doing all these things in game was just slick.
Graphically the two games look identical if you applied tweaks to 2k11. However others have mentioned how much more fluid and lifelike 2k12 's animation is.
Still deciding.

Also, I like how NBA 2K12 keeps you up to date with real games going on.

how can i find updates for 2k12? its a solid game and gameplay was improved further compared to 2k11. i just had to it the manual way, trade manually etc.

Yeah its automatic, i was looking to update my roster then i realized that it was updated already -
You need to delete the roster, nba today and living roster files in the saves folder and then log in to the account and then it will update automatically every time you start the game,
BTW checkout the thread I started today about this game http://forum.notebookreview.com/gaming-software-graphics-cards/636991-official-nba-2k12-performance-modding-thread.html. -
Does the xbox version have better graphics? Im running on high setting but the game is looking a little blurry
-
im just not so sure if 2k12 is worth it with the shortened season. we tweaked 2k11 a lot last year, how does the stock 2k12 look compared to the graphically tweaked 2k11? -
-
Some say the animations are smoother and more in this version though.

Does this game require constant internet connection to be played? Since I tried to run it yesterday in a hotel room, but it kept dropping me back to the Windows screen with the LAN connection trying to establish. Maybe it requires internet for initial NBA Live update or so, does anyone have an idea?
2K12 version is great, I think a few significant improvements have been done (particularly about gameplay, but the menus are far better organized too) and that's what you would expect for one year of developing. I like the lower system requirements too as the game runs smoother on my Asus then the previous version. -
The connection dropping is what causes the crashing, it doesnt matter if you have access to the internet

Is anyone playing on 570M? If so, what kind of framerates are you getting? Looking to get a notebook, don't know if I should splurge for the 580M or 6990M, or if 570M will suffice for a little while for Skryim and 2k12.
-
-
a 570m will also easily max those games mentioned..i have a 5870m and have no problem and a 570m is like 20-30% better?

AARGH went online a couple of days ago but didn't play, now I try to play online or offline and all the stuttering and crappiness that I had when I initially installed is back
I had edited my config file and was getting a console like experience, and now its stuttering all over me again. Can't play a game like this...
anyone have any ideas?
PS
Anyone with ATI cards, what cat drivers are you using?
