Well if you haven't changed your driver since you installed the game (and it was working before) then that shouldn't be the problem.

If a re-install does not work, try some different video settings under the Game Menu, and see if lowering some stuff doesn't fix your problem.

 

258.96 works great for me and never crashed even though my driver crashed while playing cod 5

 

Just tried it again after re-installing and still the same problem. After hearing lebob say he's running 258.96 as well with no problem now i'm really disturbed.

 

nvidia drivers suck literally every game crashes on my computer except the console ports which for some reason work really well, this might be because my stupid asus power4gear drivers overclock everything whenever I play games or watch HD movies for example my CPU goes up 300 MHZ and my GPU core and Shader clock go up 50 MHZ

 

Well I've been playing for a bit on the My Player mode.

I got drafted 23'rd in the 1st round by the Blazers. So far it's pretty fun, although I don't get as much playing time as I should, a lot because I keep the quarters around 5 minutes long.

wierd thing is that my playerlod setting keeps on reverting back to 0 ....

 

check the file to be read only in the properties...

yes its normal.if u dont check it to be read only it goes back to default settings.

 

Do any of you also have low fps during cutscenes and replays but high when actually playing?
for example mine drops to 43 during cutscenes and replays but when I am controlling the players on the court a constant 60
and Fraps causes my game to stutter during cutscenes and replays

 

Yea, I get the same. I guess the cutscenes/replays are the more demanding parts. But hey, as long as the actual gameplay has high frames, I don't really care (and I'm guess you don't as well ). However, I don't think Fraps is causing any stuttering as it's just displaying your fps. Unless you're using it record as you play the game, which will unfortunately cause some slowdown/stuttering.

I installed the new 260.89 and it dropped my temps down
over 10 degrees!!!!!!!! while playing this game there was also a 2 fps higher benchmark.

 

have you tried the 260.89 with overclocking?

 

I don't need to overclock since this is the only game I play and it runs perfectly. Currently at 76C GPU, and 62C CPU, 36C HD, 74C THRM while playing 2K11 at the best settings that I can see from 4 feet away.

 

i also get high 50's or low 60's cpu/gpu in nba 2k11 but i was just wondering how overclockable the 260.89's are.
also heard that there are some bluray issues with this driver.
still contemplating on wether to switch or not...

 

I am afraid of voiding my warranty so I won't overclock for no reason.

IDK I never tried it but they don't seem to reflect actual gaming temperatures

Yes but you need atleast a dual core 2.4 GHZ too and then you can play on medium to high settings

 

Should be able to run it fine, just not at max settings.

Actually I tested my settings again and now I am sure that these are the best settings where I get absolutely no stutter and fps NEVER drops below 39 and averages 48

NBA 2K11 is the greatest game I have ever played and is the only game I will play until 2K12 (except for the occasional NBA 2K10)

 

i was all ready to buy this game the other day until i noticed it had securom with it. that put that on hold for now. whats the story on securom for this? does it install anything on your pc?

 

there is an option to uninstall the securom

 

So u can uninstallsecurerom from control panel and the game will run fine?
