Haha, I will do it, just for fun! Good idea - Let's make it consistent - to point out the membership in the SAME TEAM! Do your sigs, and we can choose the best! or we can make a small logo that can be added to our avatars in a right lower corner or something.![]()
Could be something with the drivers. I also have that feeling that older drivers were more tolerant to overclocking. Were you using ATT? Perhaps that is also one common thing - we all use ATT.

Guys - do you like my sig pic? I also did avatar pic with the same thing. You can download it here in png format (layered) and put it in your sig if you want. Chaz gave me this idea, and somehow it is true the same people are always writing about ati overclocking, so why we wouldn't show it for a while. TwilightVampire is no less than THE FASTEST x700 mobility on ORB!
What do you say about "NBR ATI mobility OC team"? It also includes all people with other ati graphics that are included in our posts.
I will leave it for a while, and if it isn't good idea - well I guess I will get back to the "ordinary" avatars and sigs.

So sylvain, you can change the png, to suit your x1400! Or I can make "ati" sig?
I will change my avatar and sig back to my old until we agree.
Ivan -
-
ok - I have 1680x1050 res, and would also prefer larger sig. I will make a larger sig, and I assume avatar sig is ok? I will give more suggestions soon.
Cheers,
Ivan -
Oh, you have the same res and Chaz and I then
You know how small you made it
-
I did more of them in different sizes for immediate application, and png for changing stuff! Hold mouse over it for more info.

And a cleaner version applicable to all ATi overclockers.
Chaz, can you split this thread with this NBR OC TEAM stuff and make another one somewhere in off topic? We somehow lost the connection to ATi tray tools!

Hmm, well im using the new version of ATI Tray Tools + Mobility Catalysts 6.8's on my X1600 and running a 500/420 OC.

Great pictures Ivan.
I'll have to decide which one to use; it looks like two members already are using the 200x40 image with the "NBR OC Team" letters. Which one do you want to use Twilight?
I'll split off some of our posts and make a NBR OC Team thread.
EDIT: Thread created. -
We need more characters allowed in sigs

Ivan you are brilliant! We should have started a long time ago
I hope you guys will accept me to the NBR OC Team. I will post some overclock results. Thanks for the signature, it is wondefull! I have combined it with my own signature, it is not so nice anymore but I hope you guys will like itI still have not figured out how to decrease the size of a picture without making it look so blurry, that's why my signature looks so grainy.
Charlie -
Heh heh, I was just about to do the same thing with all the info in my sig, Charlie!
-
thanks, guys, everyone is welcome!
Chaz - thanks for the split and keeping everything under control (as always...)
And guys - If you are having problem with sig size (700 characters), we may add it in the avatar, but it will be small. I did make some Avatar pics and if you are interested, you can use it.
Cheers,

Hehe ok Twilight! But can you guys please help me making a signature, everything is becoming so blurry
We have a company for 1 year and I have designed the logo myself (I hope you guys like it!). I would also like to insert it in my signature but everything is becoming blurry and weird.
I would like to combine my Notebook Solutions logo with Ivan's ATI logo and the specs of my 2 notebooks.
Help appreciated
Charlie
I added my logo as an attachment, I hope someone can help.Attached Files:

And in a spirit of this thread, let's review the current stats:
MXM Ati x700 128MB
Using Catalyst 6.10 and ATT 1.2....
Before:
350/300, 2170 3dmark05
After:
413/432, 3202 3dmark05, latencies work and must be set in order to get those speeds. Otherwise it can go up to 410/410 and then it is very unstable.
My personal best was stable 415/435.
I guess my result is the best on the Futuremark ORB with a 128MB card, but I never have published it.
I use ATT with profiles as follows (T means timings or latencies):
Default (350/300)
General use (380/380)T
Fast (410/420)T
Fastest (413/432)T
I use auto profiles.
I use latencies (timings) and brackets (if exist) are the defaults:
Timings1:
WR: 1,5
CAS: 1 (2)
CMD: 0
Timings2:
TRCDRD: 5
TRCDWR: 2 (3)
TRP: 4 (5)
TRAS: 6 (14)
TRRD: 1
TWR: 5
TW2R: 1
TW2RSB: 1 (5)
TR2R: 1 (3)
Timings3:
MRR: 200 in the fastest, 99 in others because of stability, but have to check this more (35)
TRFC: 16 (15)
I use:
Optimize Pixel share code
Geometry instancing
Catalys AI: low
I don't see any differences, but I leave them on.
What I would want to discuss with you guys is:
1. Timings, especially Memory refresh rate numbers.
2. Standard tweaks section of ATT
3. Advanced tweaks section of ATT
I will try to find some info on the issues I mentioned, and then will post it, so we can discuss it.
Cheers,
Ivan -
Try that, see what you get, and if it is still a problem, give me your pic in best quality you can, and I will do it for you).
Cheers,
Ivan
Edit: OK you already did....I will try and see what happens. Here you go Charlie (am I fast or what?) I did a small redesign in fonts (you should keep similar type of letters over whole design - it looks more professional. You have a 500x100 gif, and larger PNG - layered, for editing.
-
Notebook Solutions Company Representative NBR Reviewer
Ivan, I am speachless. I cannot thank you enough for the signature, I really love it! Thanks for editing the font, it indeed looks very professional.
I thank you one million times. It is an honour to be a member of the NBR OC Team, the best idea of this forum in my opinion
I have my overclock results on a CD, I will post them as soon as possible.
Charlie -
I would join if I could overclock my x1800. Currently I use Catalyst 6.10 and ATT 1.2.6.955. Clocks reset after about 30 secs. It would be nice to be able to restore the clocks to the ATI defaults because it's now running underclocked.
-
Notebook Solutions Company Representative NBR Reviewer
Maybe you should try ATI Tool instead of ATI Tray Tools. Rivatuner is also an option. I own a Fujitsu Siemens and overclocking is great on these notebooks if you ask me. Nothing locked or something.
I thought that another forum member had problems with overclocking with drivers after 6.3. So maybe you should try older drivers or original F&S drivers.
If that doesn't work, you could always try a reformat and BIOS updates.

Cheers,

Thanks Ivan, those are some awesome pics!

Time for some benchmarks!
Note: these benchmarks are a 3-4 months old and while using the Omega 6.3 drivers. All running programs were shut down, harddisk was defragged and for that time the newest drivers were installed. Another important thing is that I used the Spire Pacific Breeze Cooler to keep the temps down.
This is, in my opinion, a great score for a X700 with 128 MB. This is with an overclocking from 351/297 (core/mem) to 372/330. I had my notebook running on battery, gives me higher scores somehow. Anyway it is great boost, gives me 4-6 fps more in Oblivion. The default score at 351/297 is 5555 3dmark score.
I cannot tell you guys the temperature changes because I have no sensor for GPU in my notebook
Let the benchmarking begin!

Geez, Charlie, my heart almost stoppedand then I realised it was 3dmark03! I didn't try 3dmark03 yet, but now I have to, to see where my 128MB x700 stands.
Ivan -
Notebook Solutions Company Representative NBR Reviewer
Hehe I wish it was a 3dmark05 score
I didn't know that 3dmark05 was our official benchmark, so I thought let's begin with 3dmark03. I will post some 3dmark05 scores as well.
Charlie -
Charles P. Jefferies Lead Moderator Super Moderator
3DMark05 is probably the best measurer of performance for the X700 - it came out when the X700 and similar cards were in their prime and is designed for SM 2.0 cards. 3DMark06 is more of a benchmark for newer cards with SM 3.0 (GeForce 7 series, ATI X1000 series).
-
Chaz, what would be the best 3Dmark to use for an x300? Would it still be 05'?
-
Charles P. Jefferies Lead Moderator Super Moderator
Beautiful scores in '05 by the way. -
Cool. I can't run 06' to well, that is for sure. Over my winter break, I may try to see if I can push it over the 2k mark. That would be awesome. I may need some help as I may have to play with latencies. Hmm...should be fun!
-
OK, I did some more advanced ATT settings and a bit more of overclocking at 417/434 and these are my results:
6659 3dmark03 and 3223 3dmark05 (Chaz, my 128MB DDR card is closing to you!). Futuremark ORB thinks I have a 256MB card!
I tried some more Latencies, and other stuff and I will post it tomorrow. It is 2:30 am overhere.....
Good night people....
Ivan -
Futuremark thought my card was 760 something MB until I turned off Hypermemory in my ATT.
-
Hey, futuremark things my x300 is 256 meg too. I don't even think they ever offered a 256 meg x300 for notebooks. Why does it do that?
-
Read my above post.
-
But strangely enough it reported 128MB last time I was using it! I will try turning hypermemory off in ATT and see what happens.
Thanks TwilightVampire (do you have a shorter name that I can use?)
Cheers,
Ivan -
And here is a special banner/sig for x700 users!
I can make x300, x600 and other if it would make our members happy?

Ivan, you are the topic starter so I think you should add the signatures to the thread.
I would really want the X700 signature but that means I have to make a signature, and I am not so good in making sigs
Chaz, I agree that 3dmark05 is a good benchmark for the X700, but the 3dmark03 also tests other components like audio.
Charlie -
Ivan or I could re-make the sig for you if you wanted. Maybe I should take it this time since Ivan did it last time. Which one of the new x700 sigs would you like Charlie?
Ivan, you can call me Twilight, TV, or Vampire like most other people do. -
Notebook Solutions Company Representative NBR Reviewer
It would be an honour Vampire, but just one question: how come that your sig is larger then 500*100?
I would really appreciate it if you would make the sig the Ivan style. I really like his font. I would like it with the my company's logo next to it. The logo is avaible at page 2 (there is a post with an attachment).
Can't thank you enough.
Charlie -
Heres my first attempt. All I did was umm copy Ivans current work. I hope he doesnt mind. Let me know what you think. If you'd rather have the other x700 logo (The one in my sig) just say so and I'll get it done
My cuttent sig is 550x110. I didnt know that there was a size limit on the images in sigs. If there is, its not workingAttached Files:

Vampire mate the signature is just wonderful, just the way I wanted it. I cannot thank you enough, it looks great!
I have added a profile picture if you are curious how Charlie looks like. I made this picture with my phone using the screen of my M1437G as a mirror. I really like it
To celebrate my signature I have added a 3dmark05 overclock result, see attachment. Speeds are 372/330 instead of 351/297. Antivirus disabled, WLAN off, no internet activity and no programs running. Also while using a Spire notebook cooler
Once again: thank you Vampire mate.

No problem, Charlie
Nice score! Think you can beat the top 128mb x700 score? -
Notebook Solutions Company Representative NBR Reviewer
The score of Ivan? No way
He is really tweaking with overclocking the card and latency's, I don't want to take the risk. This score was done with Omega 6.3, I now have offical ATI 6.10's. I am downloading 3dmark05 now, going to run the test again.
Charlie -
Latency tweaks are fun
Be sure to let us know your score with the new dirvers
-
Charlie and Vampire (this sounds most appropriate for the record holder)
of course you can do with my sigs whatever you want - it is public. Good work by the way! Sorry Charlie, I was busy and didn't have time to make another one.
I should put it in my sig! Joking - Latencies are actually making my card faster only a bit. The power behind latencies (timings) is that you can overclock more. Risk is present always - but not too much with timings in my opinion. I read some ATT guides and many people recommend avoiding timings. In my opinion that is just another thing to tweak. I also set advanced ATT D3D tiling options and some other advanced things.
I didn't post it since I didn't do the proper testing yet. If you are interested in it I can show you. I should do it in ATT thread presumably.
Vampire - where do you change the hypermemory setting in ATT and does it affect the score?
Cheers,
Ivan -
I wouldnt mind seeing a tutorial on tweaking timings. I still freeze up if I tweak things at all. I dont think I'm doing it wrong, but I could of course be mistaken.
Ivan, to disable hypermemory in ATT, you right click on the icon near the clock, go to "Tools and Options"->"General Options". In the dialog box, go to the Advanced tab, and the option at the top is a checkbox to enable shared memory. Just turn it off and it should register fine. -
My laptop is generating very low heat, been running very well. Should I join up?

Notebook Solutions Company Representative NBR Reviewer
Back with some benchmarks! Unfortunately I do not get higher scores when unplugged, but I do not care about it. Here is my score (NAV disabled, Internet activity disabled, WLAN off, all USB things unplugged and no programs running at the background. Notebook is well defragmentated and Catalyst 6.10 were used.)
Score of 2640! Not bad I think!
Now it is time to see some screenshots of Vampire, Ivan and Chaz
Zellio, ofcourse you can join us. But I see you have a PC instead of a notebook. We usually bench overclocked notebook videocards... I don't know: ask Ikovac.
