thats really the only class i ever use, cause it's usually one shot/burst kills.

i doubt they'd let PC's vs consoles cause of the huge disadvantage, tho it'd be nice.all my friends think they'd beat me if it was me on pc vs them on console, and they don't believe me that using a mouse is faster and easier to aim with.i play horribly with a controller, it's too slow and it's harder to aim.

 

i agree noodles pc is point and click, whereas controller is hold down for a long time then press trigger

Tell your friends to get the PC version and plug in an Xbox controller, and watch them get smoked.

 

Console = easy mode
I had this issue when I was playing COD2 in CAL-IM, I'd smoke all my friends in COD2... but they were all into Halo 2 at this time, so they were like OH YEAH, PLAY SOME HALO THEN. So I did, and I still beat them, even though it was my first time playing it, didn't know the maps, etc.
This is why consoles are for casual gamers and PCs are for serious gamers. Not that there is anything wrong with being a casual gamer in the least. That's most people, that's me now that I can't invest 20-40 hours a week on games (though I still play PC), it just bothers me when console people say stuff like this

Yeah no, no you wouldn't.

 

Consoles are fun for racing games. ie, need for speed, Mario cart. but certainly not First person shooters, I had the 360, and tried to play cod3 with it, everytime I would try to shoot the stupid thing would do a melee, drove me crazy, so I got rid of the whole system. But yeah, I hear ya, with school right now, I have no time to play.

Yeah, kinda like when mac people try o say they got a better system than a PC user.

You can actually play against console gamers in the game shadowrun. It was the first game to implement the pc vs console.

There are quite a few numbers in the tag... a bit unnecessary perhaps.
I dont play COD4 so much. Halo for the win.
But silenced mp5 with the extra damage perk on seems to be the way to go on the smaller maps. I use the Carbine with ACOG.

 

yeah a few of them also think that a console has the best graphics available, even tho i tell them the console have 2-3 years old hardware in them vs my new comp.

 

another great point, consoles produce cartoon like graphix, I can hook my pc up to my 46in plasma, and blow any console away.

 

i dont know what it is but when playing COD4 on PC i suck instantly, the console controls are great and I think I oculd easily keep up with PC gamers.

 

Hook your controller up to your PC and let's 1v1. I don't even play anymore but I'm positive it would be no contest.

 

I'm SLaYeR in COD4, weapon of choice, Mac10 w/ acog.

About the whole console vs PC thing in regaurds to gameplay. Well simply put, with a mouse I can lock onto someone's head and fire in under 200ms on a console I can't even aim for someone's head, usually auto aim takes control, and/or I'm strafing to line up a shot. Me sniping on a console game is disaster unless the enemy is standing still for about 3 seconds. on pc I can land a headshot in under 1/3rd of a second while someone is running. It intimidates people new to PC FPS's. There would be no contest in a PC vs console match, especially if the console players didn't get to use auto aim, or aim assist as they like to sweeten it with.

I'm thinking of buying a PS3 this week.. Should I go for it? Not for cod4 though, can't play tactical shooters on a console... plus I already own the PC game, it's just sitting there

 

I'll get the ps3 someday, mostly for the fact that it plays blu ray, but waiting for the price to go down just a lil but first. I'm not in any hurry.

i dont know about consoles being hard to aim, as it has become second nature for me to raise my RPD to the head of the person i am shooting at. Sniping is even easier. I have finished all the Sniper challenges cept the Barret .50 ones and im Rank 41. I got the game three weeks ago.

My point is, when you get used to it, Aiming becomes easy with the Sixaxis.

It's just going to be hosted on my server (which yes, is in my home - 16mbps D/3mbps U). I've hosted COD4 servers before for my co-workers, we played comfortably with about 12 people.

Wow, i unlocked the p90 this morning, tried it out and didnt stop until i had got 150 kills in about 35 minutes. That gun is a beast!

BTW, Some real fun is getting a silenced MP5, A silenced Pistol, USing Smoke Nades, Dead Silence and UAV Jammer and just sneaking around the place. Its especially fun on small maps. No-one can tell where you are lol

I havent been on in ages though

But in all fairness console gaming is so much more fair.

 

Why? Console FPS slows down aiming and caters to bad players.

 

Most console games implement some form of auto-aim, reducing the skill required shoot with precise accuracy.

 

There really isn't a AR or SMG I don't like they're all so good! I personally don't like sniping or using LMGs but the pump SG is a fun.

 

I go by Al Sunday {Can}.

I play on united noobs (custom maps), canadian something (24/7 crossfire), or whatever else is available. If you guys wanna hook up and NBR session, let me know!

Oh.. weapons.. I like the M4, M14, or M44, preferably with red dot sight
