I'm saying the game is much more balanced/fair/even, not that its better in any other way.

eg. On PC if you had a, say, Microsoft Intellipoint Ball Mouse and I had a Razer Death Adder I would have one major advantage and probably smoke you, same would happen with a gaming keyboard.

If I invested and brought a gaming mouse and keyboard I would seem that I am very talented, but this is not quite true because in fact the majority of people have standard keyboards and some people still have ball mice. A real life example would be like fighting someone that had weight on their wrists or something similar.

Again, the settings at which the game can run also count. If a had a powerful rig, I could play games with shadows enabled .'. could see people just before they come round corners, half the time. Unlike my rig atm that cant.

Oposite for consoles which run at the same graphical settings and use the same controllers to find who is truly better (not the ones with the fat wallets as such), and hey, you can always make everyone turn auto-asist off :S

Please dont all start b*tching about this and acting all "PC elitist" and that "consoles suck" because it not entirely true.

I'll play anyone in the PC version. My ID is MICHAELSD. I just started playing CoD4 a while ago so I might not be as good as some of you guys on here, but I should be decent enough for a good match.

 

Perhaps in 3rd world countries, and even than I might doubt it.

Actually I disagree with everything you just said, We were talking about how console people think their as good if not better than pc people, and were saying they don't stand a chance, no, not one.

 

Oh yeah, do you guys play in HC or Normal servers? I personally can go either way but most people HATE one or the other.

 

IMO HC is for n00bs. its too easy.

Hardcore mode.

 

HC is easy mode, kinda like console gaming.

 

I love Hardcore Mode. It's much more immersive and realistic than regular mode.

Please explain to me why you think HC mode is easy mode.

 

wow this mis informed comments need to stop. HC is "real life", not taking 5 M4 bullets to the head to kill someone.

 

i don't really care whether it is hardcore or not, i usually just search servers with team deathmatch on. i also don't mind search and destroy and the capture the flag(whatever it's called) one.

i really hate when there is a server with like 40+ players and it goes to the map Shipment and it is free for all.

 

I like them both. For me it's a game, sometimes I want to play the entertainment side, sometimes I like hard core. The tactical realism servers are good for realistic play.

 

HC is one shot kills, kinda like using the golden gun in a james bond N64 console game, theres no need to aim, all people do is hide in the corner with their one shot kills.

When I had my own server going, it was funny to see the HC "pros" come in and get owned up by noob randoms with little skill, than I go into an HC server, and destroy those non skilled players.

HC is like Super spray and pray, for people that don't know how to aim.

 

one thing i would like in cod4 would be land mines, that would be awesome.

yeah, but with a claymore it's easier to see and you can sometimes get away without dying. i'm talking about a land mine where when you step on it, it goes off.

 

It would be a great addition.

Will CoD5 have vehicles, because that would be sweet.

Thanks a lot for the code burkle! I'm going to go tell my friends, that'll really **** them off since I have it and they don't . My cousin's 360 got the red ring of death, so it'll be extra fun to tease him about it. From what I've seen, CoD5 doesn't look like it's going to be too good, maybe playing the beta on the 360 will change my mind. If I can get into the PC beta I'll probably give the code to one of my friends. It's really sweet to have the code. Thanks again !

Not biging myself up but what I said was fairly true and I'm pretty sure none of it was false.
Your even wrong in your 1st sentence, for example there are still a few PCs in my school with ball mice.

 

we have yet to see how true your "theory" is steve, me and hep are having schedule conflicts and the one night i couldnt get my SIXAXIS working on Visat 64, figures, so we will have to find some other time and actually be true to it.

Finally got to play COD4 for the first time in months

I think I'm addicted again ... but I'm supposed to be studying

 

COD4 is the greatest multiplayer game for PC's right now. Biased opinion of course

 

Personally I'm thinking Zombie Panic! Source, followed by TF2. I don't like COD4 too much. COD2 >>>>> COD4

 

We could have a Cod4 +rep tournament.

I'm going to bet we're not allowed to do that since you're not allowed to offer rep for trades, etc as per forum rules. Just check with a mod first.

I don't care much for rep, I would just play for fun with other NBR peeps. or we can all hook up on a server and put {NBR} plus our names on here and all jump on the same team

 

and just for fun, one game everyone on the team goes after the same person on the other team. see how fast we can get people to start freaking out.

 

I'm all up for just playing for fun, I asked earlier if this was already being done. I just wouldn't run a tournament like that without first contacting a mod, that's all I was saying.

hmph, I'd only brag for a post or 2, and leave it at that, really though, I'm a very poor winner, and after I win people don't seem to like me as much, but just so you know, if in game I say "let me know if I'm playing to hard on you", don't think I'm trying to be a jerk, sometimes I lose focus and forget to let the other guy get a kill every now and again.

 

Glad to see so many COD4 gamers! This is the only game I play anymore, I don't enjoy anything else really. A tournament would be cool.
