NBR L4D Team

After that crazy steam sale, almost everybody bought l4d 2 (if you didn't, shame on you ). So, based on this thread, I started thinking about a steam group for us to meet and play together. RaYYaN gave me incentive so I just created it.
Right now I am group admin, RaYYaN and ArmageddonAsh ([OCN] Drunkeninja on steam) are officers. Apart from the standart privilegies, I gave them permission to change the group messages, picture and other 'cosmetic' things.
So, join the group to have a good time with nbr members that play l4d, and you can find other games in their preferences too.
Also, if you have any suggestions like cool group descriptions and avatars, post here so we can use it.

I'll try and play, but ever since the last patch my hel80 refuses to play L4D properly... I think it senses impending retirement with the G73 incoming

Should def. cheese some achievements though, especially those related to team versus.

 

You can count me in, too, though I'm staying in a hotel ATM (in the process of moving) with an internet connection slower than mud in July so I won't be playing any multiplayer games for a while. Expect to see me in game around mid-August at the latest as I move back into the dorm.

Until then, kill some Jockeys for me How I hate those little buggers...

where are u guys located? i tried playing in an american server for L4D2 before and the lag was rather noticable

Im UK, i get that some times, i get MAJOR lag some times and it seems its all down to the server, one game i will be major lagging (1000+ Ping) reset and use different server and everything is fine

 

I get about 100ms to the UK, I guess we'll find a compromise eventually

 

Yeah most of the time i am perfectly fine, others i can hit pings over 1,700!

 

I don't play as much as I did when it first came out and I only play versus. I joined and usually play late at night during the week 2-4am eastern. Handle is Peter Bazooka. Hope we can get some games going

 

finally got my system sorted so expect a game or 2 tomorrow

 

Mines almost done downloading, 2 AM here so most likely tommorow we will see what we can do

joined up....what kind of fps do u guys get online or what is considered normal? i played on 2 different connections over the weekend, dsl and a way faster cable connection, and got ~25fps on both.

 

when my ping isnt crazy i think i still get maxed out FPS with all settings Max but hey im on a dreaded....desktop

 

Joined, under shaï'tan (yeah i know what it means ). For those who want to use voice chat, i'm for it, however since i mostly speak french you won't hear me speak a lot. I understand english perfectly though, just a bit rusty speaking it.

Played earlier with Tijo (Game name "shaï'tan") we played Dead Center and Dark Carnival. Beat them both but one guy who joined us was kinda being a jerk on Dark Carnival.

i think it would be a good idea to give a list of those that are members of the group and state there NBR username for those that use different names when compared to there NBR name (like me)

to rayyan, yeah it was a very fun game, but my desktop pc is lagging as hell. maybe my hp laptop can play it smoother, i'll have to tweak my settings to see what i get. I am getting a mic to voice chat, maybe tomorrow we can play with voice and you will see how bad i am at english, lol. AND, my internet now seems to be stable, but i didn't finish the router configuration yet. I expect to be able to play tomorrow with no disconnections, lets see.

If you're in the eastern time zone, then i'll be available tonight.

If someone has a different name, maybe they could include their forum name in brackets as well or something like that. That's what i did in order to avoid confusion. I'll have to work a bit on my fps skills though, i've been out of PC gaming for a bit, just got back thanks to my G73 .

EDIT: If you see me online during the day (eastern time zone), it means i'm using my university's high speed connection to download some games... (they haven'T imposed a download throttle on steam yet )

 

I'll be available around 10PM Eastern tonight; I don't get out of class until 8:30PM and it's about an 80 mile drive home.

 

A lot of the time you can match the avatars up I'm down to kill zombies today too.

Is anyone else having problems getting L4D2 to remember certain graphics settings? Every time I start it up, I have to manually change it back to "multi-core enabled", it's sort of annoying.

Also lots of dudes in the group on now, lets go!

 

Just got done pulling an 11 hour shift at work dealing with stupid people. Really need to kill some zombies, anybody game? (Its currently 9:12 pm here on the west coast)

 

I will be up for a nice session of gaming in about 6-7 hours (dam training!)
