    Hi everyone,
Due to the lack of database of mobile video bios, I think it would be nice to share our vbios to help people troubleshooting their lappies or simply people who are willing to try new bios.

    Please share...

It's pretty easy to get your video bios, just download "GPUZ", launch it and click on the little green arrow to save the vbios on your hard drive.

PS: I deeply need an MSI vbios of HD 3850 from the GT735 laptop.

    I'm uploading these vbios:

    ACER 9600M GT 512Mb DDR3 (mxm)
    ACER 9600M GS 256Mb DDR3 (mxm)
    ASUS HD3850 512Mb DDR3 (mxm)
    ACER HD3650 256Mb DDR3 (M86 mxm)

Alas, it doesn't work for me. The version is not displayed and when I ask to save the file, it tells me me that BIOS reading is not supported on this device. :( . The card is an 8600M GT (DDR2, 512MB) from a Compal JFL92 laptop. I tried the latest GPU-Z version, but it doesn't help.

    Hi,
Posting alienware/OCZ/Arima HD3870 mobility vbios, master and slave cards.

    To Cobra03:
thanks but I think your bios is not the original one from the HD3850 of GT735 notebook (has same checksum as the Alienware bios).

I need this bios to try the card on my Amilo Pi1556. It does not post with the Alienware bios whereas the older Amilo M3438/M1437 works nicely with it...

Interesting. This week my MSI Mobility Radeon HD3850 arrived but I didn't had the time to try it in my HP 8710w. This weekend I'm going to give it a try and when it'll work I'll upload the vBIOS :)

Great topic! Almost a year ago I would kill for a topic like this one, I was searching quite a lot, without results :( Now I'm glad that johnbb made this topic and I can contribute :) Here are my old Acer HD3650 512MB DDR2 (on the shot it's overclocked, because I don't have another shot and I'd just sold it yesterday) and my new MSI HD4670 512MB GDDR3 vBIOSes.

@sean473 - Try with the newest version of GPU-Z, if it's not working, try to extract it with ATi WinFlash and Radeon BIOS Editor. I know that it sounds crazy, but you can give it a go :)

Are these all seperate Bios' or are they part of the main system bios? I have a m1330 with a 8400m gs but I was under the impression that the vbios cant be modded as its part of the system bios.

    Hi,
they are video bios usually coming from MXM discrete cards.
Sometimes the video bios can be directly stored in the system bios (often the case in integrated GPU) or the system bios can be unlocked by specific video cards (some HP notebooks for instance).
If you can't get your video bios by GPUZ, RBE, atiflash, nvflash or other software like these, maybe it's part of your whole system bios.

It's my first post here, before I had no opportunity to say hello to all and tell that I admire work of Your community. Big up!

I'm looking for vbios that'll replace the one I attached.

The card which I took it is 3470, placed in my FL90 works only on external monitor, bios update to v1.18 didn't helped.
Old 8600M after baking is still dead.

If anyone owns non acer version that might work with mine please share.

    Greetz to y'all!

That is a great idea, I don't feel the need to submit my probably 30 vbios files because I think this thread will get pushed under. Ant the techpowerup vBIOS database definitely sucks for quick uploads because they have to be approved individually.
Though it would also be nice to have the techpowerup vBIOS database in the first post.

Did you have success with running a HD 3650 DDR2 512MB on an Aspire 5920G? My old 8600M GT stopped working after 6 years :(
