    Recently announced on their blog, Dota 2 beta keys will become more widely available in the coming weeks. I just got an email from them, and they did a quick survey and gathered my hardware info to see if they deem me worthy to receive a key.On their blog, they mention that with every key, they will hand out two extra keys to give to friends to everyone who receives keys.


    The purpose of the thread, is if you get a a key, and don't have someone to give extras to, this is where to bring them to share with fellow NBR members.

    This is also a thread to discuss Dota 2 beta and set up games for those who will play.

    I got it too, but it doesn't redirect me to a survey on Steam. Is there a way to manually get there?

    I manually entered the address into my address bar with steam up. It took a few seconds for anything to happen. try restarting steam and trying again.

    I got it working by reinstalling steam and finding a post in a forum found through Google, not sure if it was Steam's or Dota's forums. Probably the latter though.

    go to the official dota2 site and click on the link to the survey. it scans your system specs and makes you fill in a very vague survey about your dota experience.

    hopefully they release a lot of keys. nothing more fail than having a 1million tourny and have the game not take off.

    I've never been a Dota player, and I even signed up. I gifure I have a good chance of getting a key since "they wanted a wide sample of playerbase" (a.k.a. non-players and vets alike) and a wide spread of computer hardware, and all my sysems are fairly unique. :)
