    I tried the updated mobility mod tool 2 days ago on the catalyst 9.5 release. It all went smoothly and it modified the driver inf correctly. So far I have not gotten around to actually installing it as I am waiting till ATI officially release catalyst 9.5 (it should be sometime today if not sometime this week).

    If you are running windows 7 then there really is no need to mod the driver just download the mobility driver for your particular GPU series from ATI. When I was testing windows 7 this worked perfectly with the catalyst 9.4 beta driver.

    All I did when I was running windows 7 RC was go to ATI's driver download page and select windows 7 64bit then mobility drivers and then mobility Radeon HD 3000 series.
    You will also notice that the mobility 2000 as well as 4000 series is also present. Installing that driver caused windows 7 to identify my card as a ATI mobility Radeon HD 3000 series GPU to me that is no issue but others might get a bit testy that it doesn't identify their specific card i.e HD 3450.

    so these even work with the 9.4 drivers.....no way....has anybody tried it yet

    never mind updated to the 9.4 driver without a problem.... thanx tinder +rep
