178.13 Vista drivers are out too.
-
The 178.13 drivers are for dekstop cards only if I'm not mistaken, and not available for laptop cards yet. And there is already a thread for this...
-
sorry i dont get the chance to visit here much, i have a new shift at work and am busy alot.. didnt know about another thread on the subject. just tryin to help all learn of the new driver. i just today saw that the new driver was on laptopvideo2go.com and over at nvidia.
most drivers are desktop only tho thats why people make the modded inf's. the 175.19 was also a desktop driver only but, they made a modded inf so we can use it in out notebooks seeing how the manufactures never update the driver library for laptops. -
so does anyone have a modded inf for the 8600m gt for windows xp??
-
So, if I install this on my Samsung Q310 with GeForce 9200, I shouldn't have any problems?
My HDMI port and anything else associated with the Graphics will still work properly?
Also should I install the Samsung screen fix on the modded inf on laptopvideo2go? -
so im not understanding when i click the link above it takes me to laptopvideo2go.com? then when i click to download there it takes me to nvidias website. but there no support or modded inf for the 8600 m gt?
soooo where can i get a modded inf for the 8600m gt for windows xp??
btw i read through the other thread for this subject also. if i download the one from nvidas site will it install without a modded inf...most drivers ive seen need a modded inf to actually work on a notebook.

I want to see the 180 to come up.
THE BIG BANG No 2 -
The drivers that list a card with your device ID will install without a modded inf (i.e. the desktop drivers will not work that way). The device IDs typically differ by manufacturer -- you can't install Dell's 8600M GT drivers on a Compal laptop's 8600M GT and vice versa. It is generally best to have an unmodded driver directly from your manufacturer, but if that is not available (and it is usually not available; the support for mobile cards is utter garbage), just get the modded inf from laptopvideo2go.

ok i looked over at laptopvideo2go.com the link takes you to nivida's website the drivers are for desktop cards only, which, means i need a modded inf file.
where can i get the modded inf for the 8600m gt with windows xp? -

Hum... I'll wait until tomorrow to update. If anyone wants to try them out, specifically in a gaming environment, let us know how it turns out.

I wonder if these drivers have the same shader optimization as the 175.19. So far the 177.xx all disappoint fps-wise.

Find your 178.13 of choice here.
