Well, this will change over the next couple of days...

I still can't save my controller configuration, even with the new patch... that's really annoying!

Weird... a friend of mine has the same setup in his Asus G73 and it runs absolutely flawlessly...

However, it seems the patch doesn't fix the problems for all the people. There are still hundreds of reports from people who didn't get any improvement from the patch...

My game still doesn't create a controller configuration file... and they didn'T fix the stupid writings all over the display while playing online. :(

... but the new cars are nice. :)

    ^^
Same here with my Asus g71gx. Many people would say my CPU is too slow, but I don't agree. You can't have a frame drop from 45-50 to 10 all of a sudden. Many people with much more powerfull CPUs experience exactly the same problem. It's just the game is not optimized for PCs at all.

I find this game to be incredibly fun. I've invested about 50~ hours into it playing as the police and I must say, it's THE funnest racing game I've ever played along with Mario Kart.

I'd recommend this game to anyone who desired a racing title :)

I usually turn off the in-game music and throw on some Drum & Bass (styles: atmospheric/deep/liquid) and it intensifies the gaming experience.
