I have the Alienware M15x with the GTX 260M and have 6G's of RAM and on a few of the races on Hot Persuit I get flashing trees. I have installed the patch and downloaded the latest driver for the graphics card. It's only a few races and it' always the same ones. Any idea how to handle this? I'm assuming it's not the graphics card as this does not happen randomly.

Could be a game bug or a drivers bug, it's still a relatively new game. You might get better help over at the official Need for Speed forums.

The EA UK forums are usually a bit more helpful.

That's a known issue which usually happens when you go back to the desktop (alt+tab) and then continue to play afterwards... I got it too. They already have it on the list for the next patch, which hopefully will be released this week.
