Hey, i was just noticing that if you wanted to pre order nhl 08 it costs 40 bucks for computer or 60 for ps3/360. Does this mean that its cheaper because it is for the computer, or because it is a dumbed down version of the game (like nhl08 for 30 bucks for the ps2)? I really want to get this game but not if it isnt up to par with the next gen gaming systems. Thanks.

ps3/360 games are always more expensive than pc games. so i think its just that cheap cause its for pc instead of a console

They charge lower prices for PC to encourage people to buy it instead of pirating it.

well put jb1007 that and i think console games have always been more expensive than pc games. well at least when the console is initially released. give it 3-4 years and games will drop in price for the ps3 and xbox 360

40 bucks for pretty much a blank cd, thats how i see it. Games should never be that expensive, though the makers/designers spend a lot of hard work making games. They should be compensated.

However games like Madden 08, piss me off, because it was pretty much the same game as Madden 07 and Madden 06. They didnt even change the commentary and Madden says the most obvious/stupid crap ever, it makes me laugh

i always buy my sports games for consoles. i just cant stand playing sports on a computer cause like you cant play it when a bunch of friends come over and a controller just feels so much better for sports games IMO. and i only buy nba games. 2k>nba live :D

Sports games are definitely a lot more fun on consoles especially when friends come over and different people can bring controllers and you get to play on a fair sized tv.

One thing though .. for example fifa always has the most incredible add ons. Different game physics, improved AI, kits, stadiums - so many extra features that the console just doesn't get.
