I did a clean Windows installation recently, and the new NVIDIA 320.18 WHQL drivers failed to install because I was not connected to the internet. I had to use 314.22 WHQL drivers for offline installation. Is this the future trend for NVIDIA to require an internet connection to install graphics drivers?

Great, we are now going to have the problem where when a new driver is released we won't be able to install it for 2 days due to server load
.

not heard of that before but tbh your not missing much. the latest has worked fine for some but has caused loads of problems for a lot more people on here.

find a driver that works and stick with it.
im guessing it might update physx so needs a connection. just a guess though.
why dont you want to connect your lappy to the internet.
nearly all other drivers have to be connected to the internet to download them. to type your above message you need to be connected to the internet.
