I keep on getting the NVIDIA Enthusiasts KDM error in device manager... Is this something important or can i ignore it? When i tried the built in windows hardware problem solver , this seemed to have disappeared and now there' an unknown device.. What can i do to solve the problem?

Go to Device Manager or Services.msc to enable the Nvidia Enthusiast KDM Platform again.
    Have you tried CCleaner?
I got this problem before actually. It's solve after a few times of Driver Removing and Reinstalling.
If you can't solve this problem and this problem really hit you, then, reinstall your Windows. Faster way and save your time tinkering around.

I see that you bumped the thread several times but did not come back with a solution.

I also have that on a VAIO_F11 GT 330M & the NVIDIA Enthusiasts KDM error in Device Manager > System devices remains after uninstalling the Nvidia Tools, Physx & 257.15 Beta, rebooting then installing the current latest 257.21 & rebooting again.

i think it was some driver issue.. didn't impact performance or anything.. i eventually gave up and when i reinstalled windows a few months later and used newest drivers , no problem now...its gone.. u might want to consider a clean driver install first...

    Thanks for replying sean473.

I found the Enthusiasts KDM error fix: it's something installing with the NVIDIA Tools, once you uninstall the tools, you get that KDM error. Just go to Device Manager, right click the error, uninstall & reboot. No more errors. ;)

As I explained above, I had uninstalled my old NVIDIA driver, rebooted & installed the laste driver but the error was still present, hence my original post.

A recall for me means that you need to return your unit for repair or exchange/refund. This problem is solved @ home by the user with a simple download & update that took me about 2 minutes to run.

It's a simple run-of-the-mill BIOS update, not a "recall" otherwise the Dell_XPS and both Envy_15 and 17 got recently "recalled" as they also had BIOS updates to solve overheating issues that a much larger percentage of owners have.

According to the official VAIO_Recall press release by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in cooperation with_Sony they received 30 reports of laptops overheating to the point of
    keyboard deformation out of 233,000 VAIO_F11 and CW2_Series so: 30 / 233,000 x 100 = 0.0128%. Wow, I'm nervous!
