So I've been seeing a lot of posts on overclocking the 330M but nothing really yet on the 425M GT yet.. What's the best program you would use for overclocking? I was thinking maybe RivaTuner or Nvidia Tools.. Also How much should I overclock it if anyone else has the 425M..?

I think your best bet will be Nvidia system tools (I prefer it) or MSI afterburner since Rivatuner didn't get an update for like forever .... as for the clocks and results they usually vary greatly within the same chip and what it can take before it shows artifacts or overheat .... so it is mainly the luck of the draw

Hi
You may want to check the following benchmarks:

Here's my specs and what I got before and after overclocking.
Firstly, Specs:
I have a Asus N53jq. I7 740qm, 6gb 1333mhz ram, 5400rpm very slow hard drive, Nvidia 425m, Windows 7 64bit.
3DMark 06 free version completely standard settings 1280 x 800
With standard 560/800/1120 I got ~6600 3DMarks
With 730/930/1450 I get ~9500 3DMarks (that's the highest stable clocks I'm happy running long term with no artifacts)
The biggest jump I noticed was actually overclocking the memory, the 128 bit memory bus is obviously a big bottleneck.
NB: My 425m went unstable at >740mhz clock and artifacts occured from 940mhz mem on but temperature was never a problem. At current overclock with laptop practically sitting on air Furmark pushed it up to 73c (the fan ramps up at 73 in the asus so the temp is rock steady after 5 mins).
Results may vary with other 425m's but I hope this is indicative.
I used nvidia's add on tune up tool.
