Darth Bane Dark Lord of the Sith
-
Thanks for the update...
Probably going to update soon. -
thanks for the info. - Downloading now.
-
downloading now, hopefully ill see some improvements without a rise in temps.
-
Joybook S42 still not supported because of hybrid graphics...
*sighs* -
Have anyone tried it?
Do you have feedback? -
installed and updated with no problems for me
-
The last drivers had very bad performance just wondring how does this do in real-life...
-
Thanks for the heads up Darth Bane, will install now.
If anybody wants me to, I will post the benchmark results using the FarCry 2 Benchmark tool. -
These better be good!
-
no difference in 3dmark06, will try some games later.
-
Well, I download them now. -
3dmark06 is not the be all, end all of benchmarking. Also, from my experience it takes time for the driver to "warm up" to the system, and your score can rise hundreds of points. 1 run does not do testing justice.
Far Cry 2, DMC4, Crysis, Vantage... etc -
I'm gonna try CrySis now. I run 3dMark06 2-3 times to be sure
-
FarCry 2 Benchmark Tool:
Code:185.68 Average Framerate: 30.42 186.03: Average Framerate: 28.59
-
Thanks OP. +rep just because you found them before me.

Thanks for the info. Will try this one but every new drivers, more the temperature. I like using 179.4x as it is much stable and cool. Lets see what benefits this driver brings.
-
Hey everyone!
Has anybody tried this driver yet, and it is better than the 185.85? -
I will post them soon! The new one sems too be better so farStay here
-
Thank you so much
-
Okay, here is my CrySis benchmarks!
185.85 DOX was 87C -
Seems that the 185.85 is a little better, but not much!
-
EDIT: This driver also crash with overclock, maybe it is becouse CrySis. I'm going to try it out with 3DMark06 now. -
Hmm, I hope this driver will be better..
-
-
Hmm, I will give it a try and test it in 3Dmark06. I can always do a system restore
Current Score: 1874 with a 9300m GS -
I have 3dMark06 running now but I try to find a stable clock with stock voltage, it is not so easy
My system is running 7C cooler now -
I am downloading it now.
186.03 and 185.85 which 1 is better?
I mean normal 186.03 and normal 185.85. Not DOX. -
I got 11 288 3DMarks (06) with 186.03.
My clocks are 585/920/1420, not compare this one with 11832 which is in sig, clocks are way higher. -
I will test it soon with the new one -
-
I look forward to installing this on the GTX 260M when I receive my notebook Thursday. -
-
Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
You will love these drivers, Kevin_Jack2.0. The INF's have Clevo OEM support.
-
580/400/1450. -
I tested 185.85 with 500/1000/430 and then 186.03 with 500/1000/430.
Both of them give me the same result.
The maximum temperature also same. 75C. -
-
Here is my results:
185.85:
3Dmark06: 1874 with a 9300m GS 71C hot
186.03:
3Dmark06: 1876 with a 9300m GS and it gets 72C hot
No big difference. What do you recommend? Switching back, or stick to the new? Personal I think it would be best to stick to the new because a lot of bugs are fixed.
What do you think? -
-
-
Maybe I will try to overclock my card a bit. 72C under preasure is really low. If I can overclock it so it goes to 80C under preasure, and I get better performance, it would be great
-
You can try it, but incrasting core/memory clock shader ect. won't effect temps. so much. My max temps. is always the same with and without overclock...
-
Ok, if I overclock, would it increase my FPS in games?
Good news! I got better Frames Per Second in Call of Duty 4! I was in a big map with 41 players with 1280 X 720 res, and I think I got an average on 35, thats good for my card. But it's been a while since i played CoD4, so I don't know if it improved THAT much.
Maybe it's just meI played for 30 minutes and my highest temperature was 75C.
-
Last time, I had 523/450/1050 and I get maximum temperature 75C.
Because of my voltage intake and crashing of processor/motherboard so I switch it to lower clock value. -
Hmmm.
I get better FPS, but I notice a little more stuttering. It's like it freezing in a half second, and then run smooth again after that.
I can live with that, it's only every 10th minute or something like that. -

I dont know whats wrong with my laptop. When I use 18x.xx series drivers, when I right click in the desktop, it takes like 6-7 seconds for the menu to appear. It doesnt happen with the 179.XX. Any facing similar issue?
-
Nope, not here. But as I said, I notice a little more stuttering in CoD4 and Battlefield 2. Maybe it's because my computer needs to rest xD
Good night everyone. -
My Left 4 Dead runs smoother XD!
But GRID is like no changes.
I hope that the next driver would increase performance to every games. XD! -
Or just ordinary right click on the desktop?
If it is just ordinary right click on the desktop, you experienced delay which mean your computer might no compatible with 18X.XX forceware(guess only). -
Glad you got your laptop faster
One of my friends had that issue with right-click. He used XP, I re-installed OS for him and now it is fine. Also you can try to disable nVidia Control Panel shortcut from right-click menu, maybe that helps. If you think it is becouse the driver: give it a try.
i'm on my phone now. The max 3dMark06 I could reach was around 11200, at stable clocks.I will try more overclock tomorrow.
BTW: does any of you play GTA IV, if so can you post benchmarks? Any improvements?
This is the best answer I can write with my SonyEriccson P1i
