What would be a good graphics card for playing games like Dragon Age Origins, Skyrim, Mass Effect 2 (not FPS games, i dont play them)?
How good (or bad) would the NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M - 1GB (for Quad Core CPU) be? What level would the resolution be and would there be lag? I'm not a hardcore gamer and while i prefer the graphics to be clear and good quality, it doesn't have to be the best.
Additional specs:
- 2nd generation Intel® Core i7-2670QM processor 2.20 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.10 GHz
- 6GB 2 DIMM DDR3 1333Mhz
- 500GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
- 15.6" (39.6cm) HD WLED True-Life (1366x768)
Btw, the computer i am talking about is Dell Inspiron 15r.

You should be able to play DAO, ME2 on medium to high at that resolution(1366x768), but for the sake of your enjoyment, get a more capable card like GT 540m or better, it will run newer games like skyrim a lot better.

GT 540M is clocked @ 672/900/1344
GT 525M is clocked @ 600/900/1200
Both have 96 cuda cores.
So the difference isn't that big. -
Sorry, my bad, thought 540M had more shader cores. And even 550M is just another higher clocked 525M, 740 core clock is a big jump over the the 525M though.

I overclock my 512MB 525 and play MW3 at 1080 or 900p...
