I want to buy a laptop, one is of dell which has AMD Radeon HD 8670M 2GB and other is HP which has NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M 2GB.
Other configurations are 4th gen i5, dell has 6GB of RAM compared to 4GB of HP, 1TB HDD.
Which graphics card will perform better in terms of gaming ?
    Thanks.

make sure the 740m has gddr5, then between them both the 740m is faster

Even without ddr5 it looks like the 740m is still easily a step above the ati. This becomes especially true when you consider the nvidia is probably coupled with a better cpu (intel) than the amd. Unless there is a cost advantage on the ati side, I would go with the 740m.

Yup I would say that the 740M is better... Even with DDR3... Also NVIDIA driver support is better than AMD so that's another plus!
