    Sorry, I meant extra clocks.

I had a similar problem with the first F.E.A.R.. It would downclock to Throttle clocks, and even deactivting Powermizer did nothing for the problem. I was barely getting 35fps through that entire game. Then again, I was maxing out at 55C, haha.

    Is 197.16 better, than 186.81?

Anyone else getting the "Your system has not been modified" after the 197.16 install?

My system seems pretty fubar afterwards. Doesn't recognise the gpu or any of the gpu device details in display settings.

I usually do an uninstall of the Nvidia drivers from control panel. Restart, then run driver cleaner from safe mode and then run the driver install package once it's rebooted.

I don't know if there is a solid app that removes all Nvidia software because Nvidia control panel and Phys X seem like they remain behind after the driver uninstall.

I've tried installing other drivers but they all seem to give the same problem.

The only work around so far is a system restore.

    It's pretty annoying.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

You need to use a modified.inf, try using the one used in 197.25 on laptopvideo2go.com

They're WHQL, you shouldn't need to use a modified .inf. I know I installed mine right through.

I had a look on Laptopvideo2go and noticed that the site has issued a notice saying the driver detalis are down until a fix was provided.

It's a bit of a bummer. Never usually have a problem with installing new drivers.

Downloaded them anyway and might give it a shot once their down.

Why don't people just download from Nvidia? I'm never much of a fan of laptopvideo2go

It doesn't matter if they are WHQL when Nvidia make mistakes with the hardware ID's preventing them from installing correctly.

For a number of people including myself, yes. Though there is one way to find out for yourself. And that really is the best way to find out.

    Hey guys,

Quick question. Would you say that the M15X (RV.1) has hybrid power capability's. I'm thinking that it might do as it has the stealth mode option.

The reason why I'm asking is because I was reading through the supported products page on the 197.16 release notes and found this:

    [Note:

The following notebooks are not supported in this release:

    1. Notebooks supporting Hybrid Power with Intel chipsets.
    2. Fujitsu notebooks – support will be added in a later release. Fujitsu Siemens (FSC) notebooks are supported in this release.
    3. Sony VAIO notebooks – support will be added in a later release. Sony VAIO Windows 7 users can click here for driver update support.
    4. Any notebook that is launched after the release date of this driver.]

Could explain why I am having problems if I am correct in thinking that my laptop supports hybrid power.

I'm having the same exact problem, I get BSOD when my AC adapter is on my laptop, but it boots just fine when on battery. I have a Clevo too, and specifically the M570TU with the 9800m GTX card. Only this driver caused BSOD to me, haven't ever tried 196 yet. And when it stucks before it is gonna go BSOD, I unplug the AC and everything is fine ], my sys boots just fine. This is too annoying and this is the only driver which solves the audio via hdmi problem in win 7 x64
