Just done a 3DMark 06 benchmark for those who want it:

Seems awfully low for my system I think.

Looks about right shadows, my system gets a little over 8100 points, you have a faster GFX card and processor.

I've done a couple of 3DMark06 runs with this driver and I've been getting the same scores as I did with Dox 185.85

Omaiwa nippon jin deska?(don't know if it is correct XD)
Ermmmm. Japanese vista can't install english language driver?
I don't know if there is japanese/all languages 186.42 driver around. But, if english version can be install to a japanese vista, then, you just install it for the sake of performance. >.< Moreover, you know how to read english.

    @TevashSzat,
    same here. DOX 185.85 = nvidia 186.42
both have the same performance to my machine.

How about with GPU/CPU temps, any difference you noticed? I'll try this later for my G51-RX05 as it runs hot like an oven, will have to utilise all means to douse that fire without opening up the machine..

Same as DOX's and same as always. I didn't have any heat problem basically. Unless, I am in a really hot place, for example: under the Sun.
Undervolted my CPU a lot, so, the overall temperature got decreased. Even with my overclocked GPU, I only get 75C(GPU) as max temperature. CPU was below 60C.

    EDIT:
I am curious about 1 thing.
This driver(186.42) sounds suspicious. Because it is only 105MB after extraction.
    However, 186.42 driver from LaptopVideo2Go here, http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/24928-v18642-windows-7vista-64bit-nvidia/
It is 150MB after the extraction. Anyone who's interested on it, you can download it from laptopvideo2go website(only 86MB zipped). Then, you need to unrar the additional_infs(rar file) inside the 186.42 driver folder and allow replacement. After that, only install.
Now, I am testing it. I want to check which driver is the real and better one.

Rolled back to 186.03 after finding the Powermizer bug too annoying.

My 3DMark 06 result has now improved by about 50 points by switching back to 186.03 :O

    Just tested both 186.42 driver.
186.42 driver from laptopvideo2go is 150MB and I got a lower FPS and benchmark(3Dmark06) with it.
186.42 driver from OP is 105MB and I got higher FPS and benchmark(3Dmark06) with it.

Now, I don't believe these 2 drivers for some reason especially WHQL. It said WHQL but actually not. =.=! I can't see the WHQL logo'ed in the dxdiag.

I am on DOX's Optimised Driver 185.85 again. LOL.

When quitting out of a game, or any 3D application, the clocks would refuse to go down to Desktop 2D clocks, meaning the GPU would stay at a pretty high temperature and keeping the fan on for longer.

Sorry, no XP provided. Windows XP supported software are getting lesser and lesser now a day. I am fine with it. We must move forward.

About the WHQL, I checked my N 186.42 vs dox 185.85.
Dxdiag shown dox 185.85 is not WHQL certified and have warning message in the box of the dxdiag.
Dxdiag shown N 186.42 nothing, no warning message. But the WHQL logo'ed is "n/a".
So, I can conclude that Nvidia Geforce 186.42 is WHQL even the logo is "n/a" because there is no warning message.

If you are running a 64-bit OS, the 32-bit version of DXDIAG will report as N/A on WHQL. Because you are using a 64-bit version of the NVIDIA driver, you need to be running the 64-bit version of DXDIAG in order to accurately see that the driver is indeed reported as having WHQL certification.

I checked the 64bit Dxdiag just now. It was WHQL certified.

that doesn't happen to me. before starting the game, the gpu core clock is at 169, memory clock at 100. when playing the game, gpu clock is 475, memory clock 400. after exiting, it becomes 169/100 again. the temp goes down. the gpus is 9500m gs

It might be just my system the
I did see it drop down a bit, but it shot back to 3D clocks again straight after.

I don't want to deter people from trying this driver, just giving my experience with it.

I installed my 186.42 via laptopvideo2go and I found that it didn't seem to want to downclock after gaming too.

I've now switched back to Dox 185.85 and everything seems to be fine.

17K in 06 on my first try, not bad. If it works well in gaming it may be a keeper.

Using this driver, my temps decreased rather measly about a couple of Cs both in CPU and GPU, and there was also corresponding decrease in benchmark scores (10.8k to 10.6k in 3dmark06). I'll be switching back to Dox 185.85, will just undervolt for the necessary temp reduction (using G51-RX05 stock hardware btw).
