Hi does anybody know where I can find drivers for my NVIDIA Geforce Go 7600.. notice that its not 7600 GT or GS.. just Go 7600 !! I want new drivers cuz my drivers are old and they are not in english .. and when my monitor goes to sleep it wont wake.. btw I uninstalled the nvidia drivers that came along with the comp. and then i installed some drivers i found on nvidias site but they didn't work properly so now i've installed the old ones again.. before i uninstalled my drivers i could play cs with the widescreen option , but now i can't??

Go here, http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ , click on Forums then "release 80's".

For example, This one is the 84.43 version. Make sure you click the link "Quickstart Guide" which tells you how to copy the new INF file over, basically you replace the INF file that comes with the drivers with their version and the drivers will then install.

    hope this helps.

Toshiba has some drivers posted on their web site, look for the Qosmio G35-AV650 model. They were just posted a week ago. BIG disclaimer, I don't know if these are compatible with other model(s) - there may be something specific regarding the model's HDMI support that makes it not function with non-Qosmio laptops.

    I use the X-treme G 84.56's from www.tweaksrus.com. They work great for my 7600.

has anyone taken apart the dv9000t to find out whether the 512 go7600 is dedicated or shared? My question is this: i purchased the dv9000t with the following specs and understand the GPU is soldered to the motherboard (not upgradable for notebooks), but i wonder if it's possible, because this is a newer laptop, to replace the GPU with a higher-end card, and what components would be needed to keep it from over-heating. any thoughts would be appreciated....thanks.

Oh, and one more thing: i'm upgrading the RAM to 2g's once the vista platform ships. Anyone who can comment on any shortcomings for the specs above, is welcome. I want to come as close to DirectX10 compatability as possible.

There are no shared-memory go 7600's in the market. Trying to chase DX10 with a DX9 system is only going to frustrate you. You can either run DX10 features or not, there is no middle ground. Enjoy what you have...it won't become outdated too soon. Game developers will not be switching to DX10-exclusive titles too quickly. Not every gamer is going to throw away their new DX9 card away ASAP. There will be some transition time involved.
