    well i think i've decided to buy a hp with fx1500m, and i am also gonna be doing some light gaming. how does it fair? is it better than 8600gt?

    It's the Go 7900 GS, so yeah you can do some light gaming... and some heavy as well but only if you want. ;)

    I thought that the Quadros were more for multimedia things, not so much for gaming

    That's what they were designed for (3d applications, CAD programs, etc.), but they are still very powerful video cards in their own right, enough to where you can play games just about the same as you would on other 7xxx nvidia mobile cards.

    I've got a 3500m and I can run Bioshock at 1920x1200, full DX9 settings, and get around 20-30fps consistently. The only problem I'm having with it is finding compatible drivers, because the converted desktop drivers are a crapshoot and only some of them work without giving me desktop corruption. If I could actually get the latest nvidia drivers to work with my computer, I imagine I could get even better framerates.
