Also, I just noticed on the nVidia site that there are two different GPU engines available for the GT 555m.

    GeForce GT 555M

I am checking with Dell whether their 3GB version uses the GDDR5 memory config over the 1GB version. If that's the case then the 3GB will ahve a much faster memory clock and processor clock, and a larger memory bandwidth.

We have already confirmed both are DDR3.

Seriously its a straight rip off.

The GDDR5 version is basically a GT540M overclocked and paired with GDDR5.

It will take a hit on performance by having a lot fewer ROPs which the engine clock increase will not mask. I can see why people have been avoiding it.

Is there any clevo/sager computer that will have a GT 555M with a 192bit bus?

Was a bit interested in the w150hnm but if has a handicapped gt 555m, well that would kinda suck.

I think Dell has the 192-bit exclusive I think. Even the Lenovo is the crippled GDDR 5 variant.

The only GPUs left on the roadmap are 560M, 570M, and 580M.
