Spent a day trying to make the monitor work with my computer (specs in the sign) via HDMI.
The screen just flashes (flickrs) but does get an image through HDMI, but for a portion of a second only.
Works fine via VGA. Tech support thinks my video card is incompatible.
Any known work arounds?
Updated bios and all drivers and software. Resolution settings and adjustments through windows and nvidia control panel didn't help.
Vista x64 home premium.
I hope there are knowledgeable people here who might help me. ( a nightmare to return the monitor to amazon).

Which drivers are you using?
Have you tried the Nvidia control panel settings? -

Updated drivers for the graphics card as well as drivers for the monitor and just flashed the bios. Yes, the nvidia panel did not not offer any solutions.
-
did you update from the hp website or laptopvideo2go.com?
-
If you are using Vista, make sure you have TMM on. In the windows os and software subforum, under NBR windows tweaks or something similar like that. I think 1 of the 1st tips was to disable TMM. Make sure you have TMM on in order to have an external monitor working correctly.

Thanks guys. The drivers are from hp.com
Should I use the laptopvideo2go instead? Any difference?
Thank you, I will look into TMM. Never heard of that.
The tech support guy from India said that my card might not be compatible with the screen but I have hard time believing this. Is there a possibility of a newer driver becoming available later that would enable the monitor to work?
All replies are greatly appreciated. -
@OP, do you at least see the screen as a secondary display? -

Yes, i see the image, but it just flashes like an airplane strobe light, meaning it's on for less than half a second.

Did changing the refresh rate or resolution do anything?

Try using the laptopvideo2go.com drivers first.
Remember to slip in the modified .inf to install them. Read the instructions frist -

I have resolved the issue. In order for the monitor to receive the HDMI signal from the computer, I had to launch an HDMI auido program from the task bar.
I am very happy with the performance of both the monitor as well as the graphics card. -
Can I ask you, did you try to play games like doom 3 or farcry on your note?

ОК, я вот тоже думаю брать ноут с этой картой, и хотя игры не главное, иногда хочется во что нибудь поиграться. Мне бы еще цены ваши, а то в европах совсем все плохо

wait, why the hell did you get a dv5t with a 9200gs?

Im not a serious gamer, but i do play Counterstrike and i want a stable high fps.

To walk around the problem, I just added the IDT HD audio application to the start up and have it open in the background. My default playback device is the standard audio output where I have my speakers plugged in. The HDMI audio from the monitor is not very good. The speakers are facing backwards on the monitor.
If need more help, send me a message. -

I accidentally deleted an e-mail from someone here with the HDMI and hp2207 in the subject line.
I emptied the junk mail folder in hotmail right before I realized the subject and it was not recoverable.
If you still have the copy or want to send the question again, I would be glad to answer it.
Sorry.
