Ok so I finally find a company (MSI) producing the new AMD chips the "Turion Ultra X2s", I've been a long time AMD and Nvidia fan and the semi-recent merger between AMD and ATi wasn't exactly what I had in mind.

At first until recently I was under the impression that I was only going to beable to get the new AMDs with an ATi card inside (Mobility HD 3k+)

My requiresments have been a 17"+ screen size, found it, Woo and and atleast the HD 3800.

Now MSI is offering two notebooks with the new AMDs in them, too my suprise.... ATi & NVidia.

So heres my problem, the NVidia is the 9600M GT which is Dx10 with Shaders 4 and the ATi is the 3850 HD with Dx10.1 and Shaders 4.1, due to school I havn't spent much time keeping up with DX10 and Shaders 4 as I used to have, so i'll do some research on that.

The Nvidia has general better overall stats while the ATi has a 256bit memory bus as opposed to NVidia's 128bit.

Ok so after all that, I can't seem to decide which I want, and exactly how different each card is, visually and performance wise, ect. If anyone has and additional information on the two, that would be wonderful in aiding in my choice. I plan to purchase soon, due to school. Bachelors in Game Design and Development WOOHOO hah, so yah AMD and NVidia have been my hardware choice for years on the desktop. Never really like Intel ( burned out too many chips 10+ years ago, amd was cheaper, faster, better. Nvidia, well I never had a card crap out on me like I've had ATi cards.

The 3850 is much more powerfull. What's the price differance?

The 3850 should as good if not better than the 8800M GTS while the 9600M GT is a die-shrunk 8700M GT

Well I think I had my choice made for me, the ATi is on 17" display while the NVidia is on a 15.4", really wish they were equal and I really wish MSI had a easy email contact to locate so I could ask them if they plan to offer any nvidia's with the amd turion ultra on a 17". I'd love to have an NVidia ( CUBA programming ), but I really don't want Intel.
