    hi all,

i have a laptop MSI GT 628 with NVidia GTS 160M & XP Pro SP3. i tried to use an external display 42" samsung LCD TV over HDMI through a receiver Yamaha RX v665 (connection is : laptop > receiver > TV). my goal is to watch movie on TV while having sound played form receiver. so far i can have sound outputed from receiver even only on Standart, not under surround sound mode. but encountered following problem :

    1. using Dual View mode : system says i have HDCP compliant status, receiver gets 1080p video signal passthrough to TV. anyway I CAN NOT view desktop on TV. i do have preview but it's only desktop background picture. not any applications that i am running on desktop is viewable on TV as 2nd monitor. my goal is not achieved.

    2. using Clone Desktop mode : system says HDCP incompliance, receiver only gets 1080i video signal to TV. but I CAN view any desktop application i am running.

how can i use dual view mode in this situation ? is it doable ? what's the main cause ? (GPU or O/S or software ?). i've been googling around but still no clue.
