I am abit confused about PhysX:
I am currently on the latest drivers from Nvidia. However I found this link to 9.09.1112 PhysX system software.
Should I download this? Will I benefit from it? or its included in the latest GPU drivers?
I´ve been playing Batman:AA and getting very good FPS, with all settings on high and native res, but I assume I have PhysX off, since I don't see the mentioned fog and moving sheets of paper effects...

look in controll panel > nvidia > physX to see if its turrned on or not.

I want to know if that download I mentioned can allow me to enable it without a big hit in performance. -

yea dont mess with PhysX unless you have a top of the line desktop GPU.

Physx set to highest halved my frame rate in Arkham Asylum, set to normal it was a reasonable compromise.
Physx is better for SLI / Dual GPU setups if you don't want the performance hit since a single GPU is given a lot more to deal with on top of everything else it is already processing. -
PhysX doesent really play that good with single configuration Nvidia notebook gpus, unless its high end.
And desktop users usually do a gpu + second gpu dedicated for PhysX.
My nettop ASRock Ion 330 was marketed that it supports PhysX but with a Geforce 9400m with no dedicated video memory i dont really see that i would benefit from it. xD -
ok, thanks for your replies.
I will leave PhysX off in BAA, since my FPS are very nice with everything else maxed out.
Its great to see correctly optimized games like this. Its graphics are very good, without clogging performance. -

Agusman, in my opinion that is how it should be ... When a game is properly setup or optimized you should see a great looking game at any level with optional bells and whistles available if you have "physx" enabled. It also sounds like you have done your own research to get the most out of the game itself. Happy Holidays!
