This has probably been discussed here and I can't find it as I'm new to these forums, but:

So as a potential buyer of an 8600M GT notebook, how do I make sense of this? Wait for the 9xxx?
Also, I am torn as it is with whether to go with Dell or not (any board you read will have mostly people posting with problems vs. success so it is to be expected) and this doesn't help!
Ughhh.

It's like a few threads down...
The massive thread is on the same page as this...
But yes, 8600M GT may be affected. 9XXX are made differently, so they should be fine. -
Ughh, so I guess it is a holding pattern again for me as I was just about to pull the trigger but...
And also, I thought today Intel was supposed to release the new Centrino chipset platform (forgot name, Montevino or something I think) so I am curious as to how long it will take for companies like Dell to offer it...as well as how it affects the current prices. -
I FAIL AT FORUMS!
How did I miss that thread?!??! Thanks, and I would delete this thread if I could. I searched on certain terms and for some reason, that didn't come up.
Sorry.
NVidia mobile card problems across the board?
