    Hey all,

Is there any concensus as to how Neverwinter Nights 2 would play on a laptop with a 256 MB ATI X1600? I'm hoping to play the game at WXSGA+ (1680 x 1050) with as much eye candy as possible while still keeping ~35-45 FPS.

Any ideas as to what I could expect?

I am not planning on getting a 17" notebook so the X1600 is currently the best I can get. I am hoping for a X1700, but there are no guarantees as to the launch date and who will use the card in their notebooks.

    Thanks.

You should be ok in NWN2, the x1600 is a pretty powerful video card for laptops at least and supports all the features needed for the game, I wouldn't worry to much.

My bad...I shouldn't be typing messages when I'm this tired.

I meant 1680x1050...fixed the first post.

There are rumors that the card might be released soon, possibly as the successor to the X1600 just as the C2D is the successor to CD.

I would think (hope) that the C2D and X1700 would come together as the CD and X1600 are now in the HP nc8430.
