    This should've been an expansion, instead they made it full game just so they could charge full price. :p

    Gameplay is going to be exactly like empire total war, except with different skins.

    Noone is excited.....it's empire:total war with napoleonic skins.I bet 95% of the code between Napoleon and Empire are exactly the same....why else would they be able to release a new game only a year after the last release?All they had to do was take empire and add napoleonic era skins to the units.

    You're right, they've re-done Medieval, if they want give us something different, Shogun II:Total War is the way to go.

    Never was a fan on expansion packs. This one looks especially boring. Funny,dont ask why, but I saw the title as Nickelodeon: Total War.

    My thoughts exactly. Or at least something other than 18th century. It's the same bloody game *sighs*. How about Mongol: Total War or Alexander: Total War or Viking: Total War? Napolean right after Empire is really dumb.

    There already is an alexander total war, it was an expanision for Rome.

    Doh! That's right, lol. Well I still think any other historic era would have been a smarter idea. Especially some kind of Asian theme like Shogun or something Norse would be cool too..

    Since they are trying to go to more recent conflicts, I predict the next game line up for the future should be:

    Civil War:Total War
    Shogun II:Total War
    World War:Total War(WWI)
    Patton:Total War(WWII)
    Modern Conflicts:Total War(Instead of commanding massive armies, units will be reduced to small squads)

    they do have a lot of these, including a napoleon TW in fan mods...

    i recall having a lot of fun playing he greek TW mod packs with a ton of spartans... yea, i liked the 300... lol...

    i don't know why would one pay for NTW when there's been a NTW mod pack out there for a while...

    agree on the shogun...

    I loved Rome and Medieval 2, but have had trouble getting into Empire. I'll likely give it another go soon though, just because I loved the others so much.

    I really liked the Barbarian expansion pack for Rome because it did change the gameplay somewhat with the wandering hordes. The Medieval 2 XPack wasn't as much fun. On release I remember one of the scenarios had a pretty bad bug where even a level 1 assassin could automatically kill anyone.

    I think they should get real creative and create a whole new story line - e.g. aliens vs. humans or something i dont know - something in space would be really cool though.

    I agree totally, i really liked rome totalwar and the expansion but i cant, just cant get into empire.
    Modern could be good but space may be going to far away from the style which is to present a somewhat accurate acount of battles and historic accounts, modern could as a say be good say the rise and fall of usa as a super power and chinas emergence as a power....ohhhh possible but not probable.

    the covenant a mass collective of alien races.

    and the populous humans on dozens of planets TOTAL WAR on a planetary scale.

    Actually this would be awesome. I would instantly buy - I never liked HALO the game, but I loved the cut scenes in the game, and I loved all the HALO books. Would love to be able to command armies in this setting, but HALO wars isnt for PC so HALO total war it is :)
