Ok, so never owned a widescreen type moniter before this laptop, and just now found out that I have to change the aspect ratio in some games (steam games like HL2 and such) to get my Native Resolution.
Well i was running at 1024x768 or whatever and now im running at 1280x800 and all my games run smoother even though its a higher resolution. Do games on LCD's typically (I have a IFL90 with 8600MGT, 3 gigs ram, T7500) run smoother at the native rsolution less of course its a power house game?

Pretty much, only LCD and not CRt.

No, always reducing the resolution will make the games run smoother (less resources consumed since you have less pixels to process).
-
So why then do my games run smoother and in no jolts and jabs then before i had it at a lower resolution and it would jolt and jump sometimes in games? Is there something im missing?
-
I have no idea what the problem, or the issue in this case, might be. But a higher resolution high always put more load and therefore make games run less smoother than lower resolutions.

Here, try reading http://www.tweakguides.com/Graphics_6.html ,it might help clear up some confusion for LCD monitors.
