    Hi,

bought the HDX16 but the native resolution (1920x1080) for one of the games i play at times makes everything too small resulting in getting tired easily and also harder to play (targets are much smaller since its a FPS). Any other resolution that the game provides that i try really distort things and is even worse.

Is there anything else that i can try?

    Thanks in advance.

does the game not offer any other widescreen resolutions?

beyond that, an external monitor (22" or more, i'd say) might be the way to go. you can run games at the real resolution, but because of the bigger screen, things won't be itsy-bitsy.

Yeah, try it at 1280 x 800 or something. It'll be blurry but not distorted.

Or just think of it as good training. Once you get a bigger monitor or sort out the resolution to a reasonable size you'll be more accurate due to aiming at such small targets. :D

On a serious note, can you not set a custom resolution in the cards control panel, I know with most nVidia ones you can?

Choosing resolutions that maintain your 16:9 aspect ratio should minimize the loss in image quality.

The game does support several different resolutions; such as 1280x800 etc. But it seems and feels very different than what it looked when i played it in my previous laptop which had a native of 1280x800. (if i remember well).

I guess ""distorted" is the wrong wording; but it seems as if i was playing on my previous laptop on a 800x800. i,e crosshair looks bigger and out of proportions.

Yeap, i do suck at describing.

    Thanks all.

Best to go 1600 by 900, it matches the aspect ratio.

Also, there is 1366 by 768, which is 16 by 9 as well.
