This is a great game. It's Alien vs Marine combat, with interesting gameplay features. Now part 2 is soon to be released on the Source engine for Half Life 2.

Finally they have released info on a very interesting feature:

This is gonna be amazing. It will also support dual cores like the other Source games. So expect fast framerates with high quality visuals.

Download the mod (For the original Half Life) if you have the original Half Life. It's a great game. They just released a new version.

Natural Selection 2 (For Half Life 2) isn't due out until probably Q1-2 07. So we will have to wait a bit.

Spread the word, one of my favorite games. A must have for those with or without Half Life 1/2.

Can't wait for this game, it's gonna be f'ing amazing. Even the current version is pretty awesome, and it's free, and runs easily on any computer except my laptop.

I thought this comment from the blog was pretty bizarre though...:

"We haven't really seen anything quite like this in a game before..."

and then they link to a wiki entry on Starcraft creep which it is obviously a copy of. Now I'm sure they meant to say "never in a FPS before" but still.

When I was young I always used to think how awesome it would be to play Starcraft as a strategy fps. Then a few years later Natural Selection came out...obviously someone had had the exact same thought as me. It's honestly way better than a lot of those crappy excuses for computer games they sell for ridiculous sums these days.

The best part is the level of performance we will get with it. :D

This mod team is really good at optimizing their games. Natural Selection is easily the best looking original HL mod. It performs just as well. Gameplay is EXCELLENT.

Spread the word to multiple forums if you can. The more players the better. :)

And just in case you missed this (Dual/multi core support for Source):
