I have been playing Guild Wars for several months now. I started off on a desktop with a Ti4200 64mb video card, and it worked great. I am considering getting a laptop, and would like to determine what I can get by with in the way of video for laptops. I do not demand incredible graphics, but I would like it to be smooth, not choppy.

I read an article about laptop video. But it never mentioned Guild Wars. And I do not know where GWs fits in the gaming world, as regarding graphics demands.

Any info would be welcome. If you play GWs on a laptop, what video does it have, and is it smooth?

    Thanks in advance.

I think Mobility Radeon X600 128MB will do.But if you want better and smooth choose Mobility radeon X700 or GeForceGo 6600. Any GPU below than those will struggle playing Guildwar.

I know plenty of people that have played Guild Wars using just a ATI Radeon Xpress 200M.

That game has very low requirements, I have even run it on Intel Extreme Graphics - yeah, not pretty, but still ran fine.

X200M - no problems, I'd go for an X600 if you can just to have the extra power.

If you would like a notebook recomendation, there is an FAQ in the Hardware section - just fill that out, and create a new thread, you will get a lot of opinions on what to get. :)
